Futangue Park is a private nature reserve located in Chilean Northern Patagonia among lakes and volcanoes of the Lake District. In the meadows closest to Lake Ranco, you will find our Hotel & Spa. The architecture highlights the region’s native wood and complements the natural environment, assimilating the classic barns and stables of the south of Chile. The decoration uses ethnic fabrics and colorful textiles, which are inspired by national artists and objects from the Mapuche culture. The accommodation includes two charming and comfortable buildings: Futangue Hotel & Spa and the Explorer’s House and, with 16 and 10 spacious rooms, respectively. The constructions are only 120 meters apart and share the same dining room in the restaurant at the Hotel. Reviewed By Pete BWe stayed here for three nights as part of an extended trip through the lake district. The Hotel and Spa is a striking contemporary building set in a stunning private park. The rooms are well designed and spacious and the main hotel has well appointed, designed and useful facilities. We were on a half board tariff which we found to be a slightly limited menu, especially if you are staying for more than 3 nights, but it was OK for us. They do a BBQ at least once a week which is an excellent function and saw a number of the Management mixing with the guests, which was quite useful. The half board package only includes "one" drink, so if you fancy a bottle or just a few drinks, I believe there is a more inclusive package for a small extra amount. We thought we were on that package, so it created a slightly embarrassing moment. The pool and Spa are well appointed and at the time of our visit, hardly used, so it was nice to have them almost exclusively after a long walk in the park's trails. One thing to bear in mind is that there are two sides to the park and the East side is not always open, something we almost found when we were there. The weather had been bad and roads were in fairly bad condition temporarily, so I would also recommend a decent 4WD vehicle. There were a few little niggles, such as the complementary bottle of water and chocolate being provided on arrival, but not on successive days. Perhaps it was because we were not fluent in Spanish, but we also felt that the staff were initially a little more reserved, although they were more friendly as the days passed. However, Cristobal the General Manager was often around to help and advise. One particular member was very helpful and friendly, the waitress Marie Jesus, who's English was excellent. She was working most evenings and breakfasts and was very professional. We would definitely return to this hotel if we are back in the future.

It is a place of great nature and relaxation for all tourists who love nature in our beautiful Southern Chile, we are able to offer our rooms with comforts of home and at dawn with a good breakfast included in your stay. simple and friendly bed and breakfast!
Reviewed By Yair LWe stayed here only for one night, to break the drive between two remote Parks. very small bed and breakfast, but very personal and nice people. In fact, the owner, Francisco, was there throughout her stay, and was a really welcoming and warm and friendly person. He really helped us plan our trip and gave us advice about what to do in the area. The rooms ourselves are simple, not huge, but nice, and again, the overall feeling is up staying in a small familial bed and breakfast.

Surprised by gastronomic excellence and extraordinary service
Reviewed By 495beverlyaWhile visiting the excellent new Park Futangue on the southeast corner of Lago Ranco, we were directed by locals to dine at Parque Ilihue. It was magic! Great service by Ignacio, many "atenciones de casa", more food than we could eat of the finest quality. One of us is vegetarian and the other three food snobs. Prices were a fraction of what the food warranted and the hot sauce was, as promised, the best in southern Chile. Our highest recommendation.

Cabañas con vista al Lago Rango y la montaña. Cuentan con calefacción, cocina equipada y televisión satelital. Para disfrutar de paz, tranquilidad y de la naturaleza que rodea este maravilloso lugar. Ilihue es un lugar muy tranquilo, privilegiado por tener las mejores vistas del lago y la montaña en el sector de Lago Ranco, su cercanía con el pueblo permite tener fácil acceso al comercio y lugares de abastecimiento.

Delicious breakfast, personal attention
Reviewed By 495beverlyaWell-preserved wooden house. Señora Ida was most gracious, eager to make our stay the best possible. Her breakfast was very abundant with homemade bread for toast, butter, jam, cheese, meats, homemade kuchen. What most impressed us was the vegan paté that she offered, especially nice since we had a vegetarian with us. Prices were very reasonable.
