Reviewed By Basler2Das Essen vom Buffet war kalt und das Fleisch zäh und trocken. Wir haben vergebens auf das Nachfüllen des Buffets gewartet. Das Lokal war in früheren Zeiten besser. Schade! Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Grosser Parkplatz (nur mit Parkkarte) direkt neben dem Restaurant. Unter der Woche sind die Menus und Buffets sehr günstig aber die Qualität leidet unter der Preisstrategie.

A very warm, comfortable, and affordable hotel near Basel
Reviewed By RBayneyTucked away in the small town of Grenzach-Whylen, Hotel Villetta is a very nice, warm, comfortable, and affordable place to stay. The staff is immensely helpful and accommodating as exemplified by the owner - Katrin - who did everything she could to make my stay a pleasant one. The hotel is only 15 minutes by taxi from downtown Basel and is less than 1 kilometre from an outstanding family-owned Italian restaurant - Bella Italia - where I had one of the finest pizzas of all time. I recommend this hotel unreservedly as a quiet place to stay away from Basel. While I was here on business, I would strongly consider it if I were planning a personal trip to Basel.

Great hotel, fantastic restaurant
Reviewed By KristofS537Stayed one night on a stopover from Italy. Our room was very nice, with free extra bed for our daughter and swimming pool as a fun extra. Breakfast very good. Price for room and breakfast was reasonable. Restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Very professional staff and the food was great. Michelin star is very much deserved. Great service for our 6-year old too. Thumbs up.

Comfy and Practical!
Reviewed By karolp462The hotel met my expectations. The hotel is located 20 minutes from the city center of Basel that was our final destination. It is super well organized, clean and has what we need. A comfy bed, a spacious room, good shower, super good breakfast, and helpful/friendly staff. The plan was to sleep there just one night but we liked so much that we returned the second day to sleep there again. I'll recommend to my friends and if I need to come back to this region in Germany I'll stay again here.

Excellent Family Run Hotel
Reviewed By rdtraveller2018I have to start off by thanking the most pleasant and friendly family that run this hotel. The hospitality that was provided was exception including a personal pickup from the airport. The bigger hotel chains should learn some lessons from this family how to run a hotel. The rooms were of a good size, comfortable bed and good facilities. The only recommendation i would give is maybe to provide a fan on hot days, and also more variety for vegetarians. But still a good spread for a hotel of this size. I look forward to visiting soon.

Reviewed By kkkd2014Die Schlotzeria ist sehr schon eingerichtet und auch die Sitzmöglichkeiten im Außenbereich direkt an der Straße sind echt super! Mitarbeiter zudem sehr nett. Mein Highlight sind aber die außergewöhnlichen Eissorten, die perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt sind und einfach nur lecker sind! Gerne wieder!
