It’s a good camping experience

Reviewed By Fikkyy

Everything is good but the campsite terrain isnt very good, it is on first come first serve basis so if you are unlucky it’s a nightmare to sleep some site very sloppy land and not comfortable. And if you are super unlucky, you will get far from river site.

a very good place to hang out

Reviewed By ana_kecik

the facilities just like stay in a hotel. complete with water dispenser, iron, hot water, clean toilets, good foods. i must say this camp site is much better than some hotel i've stay even it just a tent. sharing toilet was clean with hair dryer and shower foam. the staff also really friendly and helpfull. just in the day time (11-4pm) it was bit hot if u stay in the tent. so just go out and have fun at the river.

Friendly place with great owners

Reviewed By Marie N

We spend our Christmas there in a room for six people. The owners were really friendly, welcoming and helped us a lot (one night when we went out it started to rain and then the owner took some umbrellas and drove out to find us so we did not get wet). Also we were invited to join their family dinner. The rooms are basic but fine for the price, the facilities around the compound were good. The resort is close to the beach and the charming small village. We would recommend this place to other travelers.

Very nice place to camp

Reviewed By Dinofood

I had such a nice time here camping along the river. The facilities were pretty basic but the guys who run it were so friendly; giving me food and tea. There were no other tourists when I was there: they allowed me to put my tent under a roof and I could use the electricity. Gopeng and the area around it is very beautiful and friendly and there are several caves and rivers. Its not touristy at all and a good place to go instead of Cameron highlands. Very recommend this place for the jungle setting and friendly staff.

Try Once

Reviewed By itsandrool

Went on the 2D1N tour package for the Blue Tears and Sky Mirror adventure. It was definitely a good bonding session with friends. Activities are all planned out and executed seamlessly by the team hence it was nice. Some pro's and con's Pros : 1. This place and the attraction has a lot of potential. It was an organized holiday which makes it a fun weekend getaway and a beach/island resort (though no beach now since the sea is just filthy with trash and wastes). But it's great being able to stay in a fishing village and still be comfortable. 2. Everything is planned out. By time you're done at night, it's time for bed and an early morning wake-up for the Sky Mirror event. Once checked in 4pm onwards, they arranged a buggy tour around the village. 3. Food is in abundance and included in the package. Starts with Steamboat dinner which you would have 2 hours to indulge (no refills on crabs and prawns); then after the Blue Tears tour, Supper, which is like fried battered snacks. In the morning, breakfast (choices of bread with butter and kaya, Nasi lemak, fried instant noodles and choices of coffee, tea and milo), then after the Sky Mirror, it is the seafood platter (though the advert promo shows a crab, but in the platter for the package, there is no crab). Cons. 1. Place is dirty. Hence the potentiality to be something but it is not there yet. 2. Tour and instructions are all done in Mandarin. Was kind of lost all the time and needed my friends to interpret for me. 3. Room though air-conditioned and most package is for 1night stay, I find the sheets were dirty. I didn't have room with attached toilet (and got the feeling I didn't want it, thinking of the sewage situation). I find the bed was hard like rock, walls was thin. 4. Food though abundant, it was alright. Didn't find the seafood all that fresh whilst being in a fishing village. 5. The first night, boat ride was like an hour round-trip to see the 'blue tear' algae for about 5 mins. It glows in the dark, that's about it. Boat ride was relaxing though. 6. Questionable how the itinerary planned with bodily functions ... boat ride right after dinner, again in the morning, boat ride right after breakfast. People were queuing up for the bathroom before the ride and I guess, food in abundance, people have to control themselves as when you depart for the Blue Tears or Sky Mirror, there are no toilet facilities. Overall, would recommend people to at least try it out once. It is still reasonable for RM300 for 2D1N though I can do Club-Med in Cherating for 3D2N for about RM700 off-peak.
