Reviewed By MichaelMcSheffreyI was glad that I discovered this superior guest house. Good value for money and the owner spoke good German and English .. pity that I don't speak Hungarian. Nice parking spot in courtyard and breakfast was included in the price. Location great and I was very impressed with Kecskemet .. and Hungary in general. Handy little bar next door and close to shopping centre and numerous churches. Recommended.

The best out of 4 apartments we have stayed in in Hungary so far
Reviewed By Daniel PMy wife and I are on a 15 day trip in small towns in Hungary and this is our 7th night and 4th apartment hotel - meaning a room with a self catering kitchen. From the remote controlled electric gate of the private car park to the quite-close toilet seat in the bathroom this is by far the best room we have had. The room must be pretty new. It is tastefully decorated and has every possible convenience. In the other places there was always something missing. One didn't have a water kettle, another had only one knife or one teaspoon or something else missing in the kitchen. In another place (in addition to missing kitchen utensils) the exhaust fan in the windowless bathroom didn't work or the TV was on the blink, etc. Here nothing is missing. On the contrary. You have both a an electric water kettle and a coffee machine, a toaster, a micro wave and a cook top. There is also a quite air conditioner (at no extra charge like in another place), which was very convenient on the hot day we spent here. Everything was clean - but then you wouldn't expect anything less in Hungary. The price was on an average 5 Euro more per night than in the other places but I would gladly have paid this difference in the other places also for the comfort we have here. The young lady who received us was very friendly and helpful.

A very nice place, but there are some problems
Reviewed By nicoleta961We booked two rooms for one saturday night in this very pretty hotel, in a lovely city, and a well known hospitable country ! I can give a 10 for everything, except the fact that, after a long drive arriving at 1.30 am , we were woke up violently by the crushing sound of the nearby church bells at 6 a.m, sweet Sunday morning !!!! It was long, extremely loud and repeated every hour after, but...each time a little softer! The " hard" show was at dawn ! When we told the receptionist, she said she's sorry, but is nothing they can do about it, as this is the tradition ! We considered that people need to know this detail, at least to be warned to use ear plugs ! Anyway, take your eye shades too, as there are very thin , ineffective blinds at the windows.

Excellent for a group
Reviewed By Owen MAround a courtyard behind a large gate on a wide street near the centre. We had street parking though it ?may be possible to bring a car within the gate. We hired a 2-bedroom apartment at €74 for 1 night. One bedroom had 3 single beds and a bathroom whereas the other had a double & a single but no bathroom. Between the 2 rooms was a kitchen/dining room with good enough facilities to make this a viable self-catering site. No meals were provided but there were some basic materials in the kitchen to supplement our shopping. There are several restaurants close by. The manager was friendly, helpful & English speaking. Generally basic but fine, clean & practical as a stopover.

Reviewed By n fWe use to sleep in this hotel on the way back home several times per year. The location next to the highway and the price were the reasons to choose it for us. When we first came we discovered that the hotel is actually really nice. There is a parking outside the hotel and there is video control in the night. There is also a garden next to it. The staff is friendly although they don't speak English or very limited. The rooms are relatively small, but very clean and well maintained. I'm not sure if there are some pubs around(at least I haven't seen any), so you might want to check this in advance. Note that the hotel is quite far away from the center of the city.
