Quiet small town

Clean and good size bedroom and bathroom, I very much prefer hard wood floors over carpets, a comfortable bed and friendly staff all made for an enjoyable stay. I found the TV in an odd spot and didn’t need to have towels changed. Breakfast and dinner both delicious and served with a smile.

Gracious home and host

What a perfectly appointed B&B! We arrived later than expected, after hiking for hours in Glendalough, and Ann graciously greeted us at the door and showed us to our room, so we could change and make our dinner reservation at Bates Restaurant (HIGHLY recommend!). The room and ensuite is cozy, but has everything you need, and is spotlessly clean. She makes a very tasty breakfast, and you have many choices. We felt very pampered and comfortable. I really liked having the large sitting room that's available for guests to sit and read, play games or socialize.

Best kept romantic secret in Wicklow

Reviewed By Mflanaganpost

To celebrate our anniversary we booked a night in a beautiful stone cottage in Glenmalure Co Wicklow. It is part of Wilderness Lodge and Cottages and is nestled in the scenic village of Glenmalure. Maura gave us a warm welcome at reception when we arrived and asked us what we would like to do that afternoon. She recommended that we take in the amazing views from Dwyers Rock which is a short walk from the village. From there we would backtrack slightly and join the Wicklow Way which leads on to the Miners Loop walk. The walks are clearly marked and remarkable for the stunning beauty of the surrounding mountains streams and valleys. Maura supplied us with the relevant map and said that the route could be completed in under 3 hours. Her advice did not disappointment us as the views were truly amazing and we were immersed in nature within minutes of starting the walk. When checking out I spoke with Frank and he gave us sound advice and maps on walking the famous Glendalough Loop that day. Glenmalure is only an hour from Dublin and the walks are accessible to anyone with average fitness. This romantic location is truly restful and already we are planning our next visit.
