Reviewed By jpr78Really nice spacious rooms. Very clean and mostly up to date. Nice bed. The staff was really good. Would stay here again. Also houses a pub/restaurant on the ground floor which is okay. Free parking behind the hotel. Small hotel so if arriving late make sure to notify the staff about that.

Almost like a shared apartment
Reviewed By SecretStreetsThis is a 5 room hotel built over the train booking hall. It was originally designed as a medical nursing home, so there are chair lifts and great access everywhere. And the rooms are very large with a good TV and great internet. There are two toilets and one shower for the 5 rooms. I never encountered a busy room! True that trains run through the night, but windows are double-glazed and it was quieter than many hotels in cities. The availability of breakfast foods (a very comprehensive selection) and a coffee machine 24/7 was great and almost like having my own kitchen. The nearest restaurant is 20 minutes away and Koping is not a great town, but the station is literally out of the front door. Be aware the hotel is manned only until 5pm and a late arrival needs to be organised in advance or you will have to call a Swedish mobile to get the staff to come and open the keycoded front door. Half the price of hotels in Arboga...

Reviewed By McCurlyOn a business trip we ended here with ten people or so for food. The staff was warmly welcoming us, very friendly and not overwhelmed with our big group. Never empty glasses and the food came synchronous. I had the classic: Starter "Skagen", main "Plankstek" and skipped the dessert. The food was well prepared, tasty and of good quality. We had a good evening and I'm sure that I will return, next time. The only downside that time in December. It was a bit cold in there - they could put up the heating more.

2 Luxury holiday houses; 70 m2 each, built in a former farm house from 1800. The Houses: Ekengård exists from 2 luxury holiday houses which are built in an authentic farm house from 1800. Very tastefully decorated maintaining original elements. One has a loft and a real 'bedbox', the other in a nostalgic style with a granary converted into 2 bedrooms. Equipped with all modern luxuries. The houses are beautifully situated on a hillside in the Swedish countryside, near a flowing brook. With a spacious terrace on the garden side, and a magnificent view. General: outdoor grill, fire place, lots of games available, volleyball, basketball, large sports field. Ekengård is centrally located in Västmanland between Göteborg and Stockholm. From here the capital is easily to reach; by train about an hour, by car 1.5 hours!

Reviewed By FransRickyWe stayed 2 weeks in Ekengard. A perfect stay in a lovely place, the house was luxury and cosy with a lot of space and privacy. The owners Hans and Anita do everything to make you feel at home, a very warm welcome with homemade cake. Ekengard is A place to relax, with a lot of things to do in the surrounding if you want to. Arboga, Koping, Orebro, Nora, Vasteras are lovely city's. Not very big but very nice. A lot of golfcourses within a few kilometres.

Sörgården är en lantlig dröm för allt från det lilla sällskapet till den stora gruppen. En till 40 bäddar i en- två- tre- och fyrabäddsrum. Vi hyr ut till par, familjer, släktträffar, bröllop, bemärkelsedagar, företag och föreningar m. m. Tillval: Sängkläder och handduk 150:- per person Städning (hela gården) 2500:- Välkommen! Boendet Välkommen till Sörgården! Boende med 1-40 bäddar mellan Köping och Västerås, 5 min från E18. Sörgården ligger mitt i Mälardalens levande landsbygd, mellan skogar, fält och sjöar. Den vackra huvudbyggnaden från 1850-talet och flygelbyggnaden från 1900-talet bildar en vacker gårdsmiljö som andas sekelskifte. För bokningar 1-4 personer disponeras gårdens vackra och rymliga gästlägenhet (nyrenoverad). Här finns sovrum för två, ett vackert vardagsrum, ett rymligt kök och ett enskilt badrum. I sovrummet kan bäddas för två. I den bekväma bäddsoffan kan bäddas för två. För större grupper, gör vi upp ett bra pris. Sammanlagt finns 40 bäddar att tillgå på gården i 1-, 2-, 3- och 4-bäddsrum. Sju badrum. Gott om plats För större grupper disponerar ni vårt stora kök och huvudbyggnadens matsalar. Den stora trädgården om 10.000 kvm är er att använda. Härliga ytor! Sörgården håller öppet året om - alla årstider är härliga att uppleva på Sörgården! Gästers tillgång Kök, tvättstuga (efter överenskommelse). Möjlighet att boka slutstädning, lakan, handdukar, mat etc. Andra saker att notera Större grupper har tillgång till vårt stora kök: Mycket välutrustat, med bl.a. stekbord och storköksdiskmaskin.

Reviewed By KommwirreiseneuWir haben hier leider viel zu wenig Zeit gehabt. Ein wunderschönes Haus mit tollem Apartment und Schlafzimmern. Mega Küche mit allem was man braucht. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war schnell und sehr freundlich. Wir kommen irgendwann super gerne wieder.

Dopo diversi tentativi verso sera arrivo a questo ostello che esternamente non faceva prevedere nulla si buono, però era tardi ed eravamo pronti a tutto. Veniamo accolti da una signora molto cordiale che ci offre l'ultima camera libera. La signora adora l'Italia e conosce qualche parola di italiano. Ci spiega che la camera é molto Bella e ce la descrive. Un po' scettici e convinti di non aver capito saliamo al secondo piano alla nostra camera e... sorpresona!! La camera é veramente bella, spaziosa, luminosa, col bagno e... addirittura con la cucina con gas lavello, frigorifero e stoviglie. Compreso tavolo e due sedie, da non credere!! Ovviamente pulitissima. La doccia era fuori camera, in comunione con altri. Sul piano c'era anche una bella sala da pranzo comune. L'ostello é pure vicino al centro per cui in pochi minuti ci di arriva. Consiglio una visita alla città che, come la camera, si è dimostrata una bella sorpresa. Di sicuro riutilizzerò questa struttura. Consigli: Ricordate di arrivare prima delle 19, ora di chiusura della reception. Ricordate anche di chiedere la password pel il Wi-fi che è gratuito.
