Amazing location and service
Reviewed By KiwimargotWe stayed 2 nights with family and the location, surroundings and service were amazing. The family studio is compact and with 3 adults you need to be family or close friends but the beds are comfy, there's all the supplies you'd expect in a hotel room with kitchenette and it was very clean and well maintained. The service on the phone and making our booking was great. There was a small hiccup when the ground floor room we requested wasn't available but we were offered a generous discount to compensate. The property is very central to Upper Hutt and surrounds and the main roads and yet is set in parklike surrounds with bush and trees behind,complete with a resident ruru/morepork. Highly recommended

Great service and quiet
Reviewed By Jade HStayed for 3 nights the reception staff were lovely and helpful. Room had a lot of space which was good to put our newborns play-mat and bouncer. There was also a nice comfy sofa for feeding our baby. Big shower with amazing pressure! Handy to have the train across the road that heads straight into wellington and two pubs that sell delicious food a dairy and cafes close by.

Reviewed By maybelleh2015If I ever need to stay in Upper Hutt again I would definitely be booking at the Bristol. We stayed for four nights. It is such a lovely, clean and tidy Motel. The staff are super fantastic and very accommodating with our needs when plans changed.

Very Pretty
Reviewed By Fiona SLovely place to stay Chalets are very comfy & warm in the winter Bed is very nice, as is the bath. Looks like it's on tank water as the bath water was a slight brown. Gardens are beautiful to look at & walk around. I was a solo traveller in winter & my only complaint is no TV

We are just 25 minutes drive or a pleasant 40 minute train ride from Wellington. 5 minute walk from Trentham Racecourse, Trentham Military Camp, and the railway station. Also nearby is St Patrick's College, the prestigious Royal Wellington Golf Club and the local rifle range which hosts the Ballinger Belt competition. Cafes and restaurants are close at hand.
Good units, poor service
Reviewed By Raewest2We stayed here for 17 days. Whilst the unit seemed to have been recently refurbished the service was very poor. Room cleaning was varied and sporadic, the office was never attended. The cancellation policy was draconian. They took the full 17 days on the card on the day we arrived and would not countenance a refund. We would have left earlier if we could.

The Hawks Inn Motel is a Qulmark 4 star rated motel and is well appointed with 17 modern self-catering units which have kitchens, comfortable beds, gas heaters and electric blankets. All bathrooms are equipped with hair-dryers and some bathrooms have spa baths. All our units are non-smoking, but there are designated smoking areas. We have a guest laundry, BBQ and we are close to local shops, restaurants and bars. A free cot and high chair is available for use from the office, please ask when booking. The central courtyard of the motel has a fully fenced pool and spa pool which guests can relax in at the end of a busy day. All rooms have SKY TV including, SKY Movies, Sky sports 1 & 2, Sky News, UKTV, Prime and recently installed Freeview and wireless internet. There is ample off street parking available in the front and back of the motel accommodation. Guests can request a cooked or continental breakfast which is delivered to your unit. Guest check out is by 10 am and Check In is from 2 pm. A late checkout can be organised when checking in. The Hawks Inn Motel is located 30 minutes from Wellington City. We can arrange a shuttle bus if you require transport to and from the airport.
Full of Emergency Housing, note on door advising no manager there during nights (all nights!!) Spa out of action still.
Reviewed By ARW2020ffsHave stayed here many times before, always someone plesant there to greet you, answer your questions etc. Now at night, no manager is on the premises & nobody answers the landline/reception. No semblance of customer service. A LOT of emergency housing this time too. Unpleasant & did not feel safe. Room clean. Spa not usable for last several years. Steer clear, will not come again.
