Great dinner, great staff - but LOUD. Not the peace and quiet-type of place.
Reviewed By emesetbsWe booked a hotel up in the mountains for peace and quiet. Our room was right above the kitchen back door, so constant truck deliveries, smoking and yelling kitchen employees, constant loud ventilator noise - day and night - 2 meters under our bedroom window. We hardly slept for days here. The hotel itself is nice, I can imagine you can have a relaxing holiday if you get a quiet room. Nice playground, horses on the hills, it's really beautiful. The dinner is very fancy and plenty. Downside: restaurant only opens at 6pm, which might make dinner rushed for families with small kids. During the day you can't get anything here, so prepare for having us shop some food for yourself. The breakfast is really sad. First, they only open at 8 which we find extremely late. A few pieces of bread rolls, 3 slices of cheese and small packaged butter, jam, nutella etc. No vegetables at all, everything is very limited. They bring you more if you ask for it but you have to ask for everything. Big positive: the staff is really nice and helpful. We were amazingly taken care of by a young Hungarian lady - she was just great.

Reviewed By Yvo BWe user Hotel Tannenhof for our stop to and from our holiday in Italy. It's just a couple of minutes from the Suisse border. They have a great breakfast, value for money. The rooms are nice and spacious. Parking is free and in front of the hotel. There is a small shopping area with convenience stores right around the corner and the authentic centre of Steinen is about 7 minutes walking distance. For dinner you can join the Italian restaurant that's located at the hotel. They Serve great food for a fair price and the service is fabulous.

She upgrade the room without extras cost and because it was possible we could stay on departure till 1700 (no extra fees) . the apartment we stay was big and very clean the kitchen has everything you need (the only problem was the sun in the morning because the blue curtain is transparent and when you are looking to find the hotel from the main road you cant see a hotel sign !!! ) the rooms are on the 2nd floor ( no elevator ) the internet pictures are like it is Eine tolle Pension und sehr nette und gastfreundliche Beisitzerin .Sie gab uns ein Apartement ohne Aufpreis weil es frei war und wir konnten bei abreise bis 1700 bleiben auch ohne Aufpreis . Das Apartment ist riesig sehr sauber und hat alles was mann braucht . ( das einzige zu andern wäre der blaue Vorhang ist für die Morgensonne zu transparent ) wir würden ohne zweiten Gedanken nochmal hingehen
