Beautiful setting, food and furnishing need an update
Reviewed By lisejlArrived at the resort but self parking was too far from the main building so opted for valet parking. Called for car a few times during our stay, but it was not at the front when we came down 10 minutes later. Setting is stupendous and the view takes your breath away. Unfortunately it was raining for the 2 days of our stay. Plenty of young employees in all venues who are eager to help but they are mostly tentative and unsure of themselves, probably the covid reality of rehiring after all the shut downs. Some areas have been nicely refurbished but many sitting rooms are still in need of updating, including the room in which we stayed. Loved the size and layout of the suite.

It continues to impress after all these years
Reviewed By 832barrygOnce again I entertained a group of friends from Barrie Ontario this weekend as I have done for a number of years and again the staff and facilities have not disappoint. Everyone had a good time and I got great review on the staff that greeted us and the meals and room were all up to expectations. Our group is looking forward to there next visit in 2023..

A Hidden Gem
Reviewed By 898lizzWe found this hotel quite accidentally after deciding we wanted to get away for several days. Our room with a balcony, overlooked Lake Joseph. It had a fully equipped kitchen and newly renovated bathroom. I have to commend Peter, the owner, who bent over backwards to attend to any issues. His attention to detail and enthusiasm to help made our stay very enjoyable. We had problems with our TV. Peter sent in Edwin, the general manager, to fix it. Edwin was also on hand to help me at the dock with tying and untying the paddle boat. The waterfront is stocked with paddle-boats, kayaks and paddle boards. There is a large inflatable climber and slide that I’m sure families with kids would enjoy. This is a wonderful spot for a vacation. We will return.?

No Air Conditioning
Reviewed By jeannettef209We visited Port Carling for first time in August 2021. We were recommended to stay at the Crestwood Inn and Gary was lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable, but it lacked air conditioning which made for an uncomfortable night sleep. We had to sleep with our windows open but we had little sleep with the neighbours on their deck chairs very close to our windows on the shared veranda.

We are a pet friendly rustic resort located directly across the street from Lake Rosseau. We are opened year round offering single rooms, double rooms and cottages.
relaxing family vacation
Reviewed By sullyd789We spent a few days @ Baldwins with the kids and grandparents - as usual, we had a great time. It's peaceful, relaxing and fun. It was fun meeting other families and couples down at the fire pit too. The kids loved the playground and sandbox, while we enjoyed shuffleboard, barbequing and the beach. The water btw is very warm. We've come the last 5 years or so, and appreciate the improvements they've made - we'll be back next year.
