Reviewed By MezAKAL1013We were travelling with our children from Germany to France and decided to make a stopover. We absolutely loved this place. The rooms look newly renovated, are very spacious (we had the family room), the staff is really kind and polite and as our travel was right after Christmas, we had little gift boxes with some treats placed on each bed. We actually discovered this place two years ago and liked it so much, we choose to stay there again. They gave us without problem the same room we had during our previous stay. In front of the building there are a few free parking places and if you choose not to have breakfast in the hotel, there is a nice bakery that serves breakfast in 20 minutes walking distance. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place.

good steaks
Reviewed By elmoastthe Restaurant was recommended to us so we thought we give it a try and sat in the beer garden which lacks a bit of atmosphere as it is squeezed in between to houses. Service was ok. The steaks were ok too. Unfortunately it seems they use premade Spötzle rather than making them fresh same goes for the gravy. So in the end it was ok but not a restaurant I would eat again.

DELICIOUS GERMAN FOOD!
Reviewed By acandkcLast evening my esteemed spouse and I enjoyed a delicious German meal with friends who live here...they recommended it and I'm so glad they did. The fellows enjoyed a beef dish that also had delicious fried potatoes, I had a bratwurst with sauerkraut, but the big winner of the evening, I think, was my friend who ordered the flammkuchen. This is like a super thin, very light but with delicious flavor, pizza..but without the tomato sauce. Instead, it's covered with a light cream cheese, topped with bacon and herbs and green onions. I'm glad she ordered it so I could try it! Next time..that's what I'm getting!!

Family-run hotel with good restaurant.
Reviewed By don dThe Traube is a friendly, family-run hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet good. The restaurant has a good choice of food, both Schwabian and Turkish. It's in the middle of Dettingen so the local shops, restaurants etc. are within walking distance. The hotel has its own car park. My only complaint is the smoking room which can be smelt all over the hotel although not in the rooms. I expect there will be guests who like to be able to sit inside and smoke a cigarette, so I won't knock off a point for that.

Reviewed By Manuel VWir kamen zu 3 leuten in das hotel, das ganze treppenhaus roch nach einem dufterfrischer für urinale, die zimmer waren sehr klein, fenster und türen sind nicht schallgedämmt für die zentrale lage an einer viel befahrenen straße... Zum frühstück: Um 7:10uhr waren nur noch 3 brötchen da, keine auswahl mehr an wurst und käse, die brltchen wurden dann gegen 7:20uhr aufgefüllt, im nebenraum hört man eine plastiktüte rascheln und aufeinmal wurden die brötchen nachgelegt, das personal scheint recht unfreundlich zu sein, auf der webseite ist nichts von stornierungskosten zu lesen, man checkt auf beruflichen gründen wieder aus und es werden fast 400€ stornierungsgebühren verlangt. Das badezimmer war sehr eng, man musste sufpassen, dass man sich das knie nicht am spülstein stößt.
