Playa El Valle

Visited this several times while on vacation at the DTHV. Amazing views and clean beach. plenty of shops to eat at and have a beer or pina colada. make sure to explore the whole beach. we went down to where the fresh water meets the ocean and the swimming was great. Careful of the powerful waves and riptides. I made the mistake of swimming out to far and had a rough time getting back.

yes its a hustle and bustle sometimes- we got dropped off by our hotel shuttle bus
then walked up to a supermarket near the market end and we found cheap rum at 250 pesos for 70cls Columbus 7 year old matured rum its really nice its a sweet brown rum with bags of flavour
There is always loud merengue playing but that just adds to the atmosphere I loved it

Beach was not very big but it was very clean and nice. You need to take an elevator or stairs to get down to it. Something different but over all very very beautiful

Parada La Manzana

There are only so many ways one can say WOW! From the owners (who made us feel like part of their family instead of their customers) to our guides Juan & Domingo (who showed so much patience with our limited Spanish skills) we thoroughly enjoyed our ride on Antony & Champion to El Limon falls and along them sharing their slice of Samana paradise with us.
We were shown anise, coffee, plantains, avocados, cocoa, bananas and more growing along the way as we rode to the falls. At the falls we were afforded whatever time we wanted to check it out...just a beautiful place, along with the amazing & beautiful people we met here at Parada Manzana.
A special mucho Gracias to our guides for their patience with me (I showed up with a sprained ankle and I slowed everyone down at the stairs, up & down) your understanding & kindness shows your heart.

During our visit to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Bahia was the last stop on our shore excursion. The building we stopped had an inviting outside Seating area. I could see me sitting on these comfy sofas sipping a cool drink while Reading a book or watching the boats in the marina. At the café, we had pizza and soda pop … on its own would not entice me to come here … but the view is worth the visit.

I stayed at cayacoa and walked the bridge one morning. It all seemed pretty safe even with a DSLR camera. There were a lot of abandoned cement structures with graffiti but there are fabulous views to be had from the walk.

Not the best place to snorkel as unfortunately most of the coral has now died off but the water is beautiful and the Beaches have fine sand and beautiful rock formations to keep you amused, relaxed and ready to just soak up those rays and cool yourself down in the eater

Museo de la Ballena

The Whale Museum is a small educational museum dedicated to the humpback whale, a marine mammal that returns every year to the warm waters of the Caribbean that saw it born. The museum is owned by a non-profit organization called CEBSE (Center for the Conservation and Eco-development of the Bay of Samana and its Environment) who use the funds raised by the museum for a program of scientific monitoring and conservation of the whale humpback We also have a gift shop with a handicraft producer that you will not find anywhere else in Samaná.

Recorrido corto pero muy informativo, se aprende mucho y demuestra que las ballenas no son un gigantesco animal aburrido si no que son mucho más que eso.
