The Workhouse

The workhouse is a place to come and learn all sorts of culinary and crafty things with a side order of "art". Its more than just a cookery school. We are situated in the small historic town of Harleston in the Waveny Valley which straddles the county border between Norfolk and Suffolk. Operating out of a state-of-the-art venue we have some great staff and have drawn together skilled art and craft demonstrators. The Workhouse is all about being relaxed and having fun: if you would rather just observe and have a go later thats cool.

Captain Cook Canoes

I'm Sam and I have a great passion for river kayaking. I have lived beside the Waveney River in Norfolk for the majority of my life and this secluded and picturesque spot provides a great way to reconnect with nature and explore your inner self. The experience is exciting and quite surreal, fantastic for a family day trip. I'm excited to share this experience with many customers at Captain Cook Canoes.

Cornucopia at the Corn Xchange

Reviewed By Seaside06 - Suffolk, United Kingdom

Went to look around antiques. Very reasonable prices well displayed with room to move around. Helpful pleasant staff. The Parlour tearoom was excellent, with the best tasting Stilton& Walnut scones we have ever tasted. Light in texture with good but not overpowering taste. Coffee was good as well! Pleasant atmosphere with helpful staff. Will definitely go back for another visit. ????
