Schauraum Erasmuskapelle

The walls are burning! 23 steps lead down to the Erasmuskapelle showroom and into the history of the town of Kempten. An impressive multimedia show makes the walls of the former cemetery church from the 13th century speak for themselves. They tell of almost eight centuries of eventful history: from the charnel house to the chapel of St. Erasmus, from the chapel to the tavern, from the wine cellar to the trench and from the ruins to the showroom. The underground chapel was discovered by chance in 2003 in the run-up to the redesign of St. Mang's Square. Today the archaeological showroom Erasmuskapelle is one of the most visited attractions in Kempten. Important: A visit to the Erasmuskapelle is only possible as part of a guided tour - every day except Wednesday at every hour from 11 am to 5 pm! Ticket service (MangBox): Phone 0831/9602202.
