Quieter and good value
Reviewed By nickmY1003VRWe had booked a room at short notice. When we arrived we were told that as we had asked for an upstairs room with a view we were in the place next door Sea and Creek. They are linked businesses it seems. The room we were given was excellent. Breakfast was at their taverna on the beach about 10m away up the beach. More than enough of it. Good quality. Varied. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The site is on the beach. The sea is shallow and ideal for swimming you can stroll up the beach, and across the rocks to the next beach where they have protected areas for turtles. The other way is the small village. Lots of sea front restaurants with various local and international foods. Fish is big. There are a couple of mini markets on one of the roads to the sea front. Watersports are available. Unspoilt and low rise buildings. Ideal for those who want a quieter holiday. It is about 30 minutes in a taxi. We preordered one via booking. Com for about £33. The driver drove at safe speeds. He was waiting for us at the airport

An oasis of tranquility

The Alkioni Hotel, set peacefully just 5 minutes stroll from Katelios beach, bars and tavernas. This is a family run hotel, and the whole family really look after their guests. The Manentis family, Spires the father who makes sure very thing behind the scenes works well. Front of house, your host is Jackie a wonderful lady who is assisted by her boys Stavros and Iasonas along with Tila who mucks in everywhere helping and cleaning. The hotel is mainly on the ground and first floor although there are a couple of apartment's on the second floor. All rooms have beautiful views over the gardens and pool towards the sea. The rooms are large with good size balconies or terraces. The other things which make this hotel so comfortable are, efficient and very quiet air conditioning. Large powerful showers with lots of hot water, aways. Really comfortable bed. A kettle and hair drier are also provided. I checked with other guests who agreed so it wasn't just our room. There is a well stocked bar and breakfast is taken under a lovely vine covered terrace. The pool is superb and kept spotless. Our return next year will not be unusual. Whilst here we met a couple who had been visiting for 20 years and another couple on their 8th year. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, and look forward to our next visit.

Stunning gardens, immaculate modern rooms, great location, friendly host
Reviewed By eviz5I stayed with my partner and baby boy for 4 nights. Our studio was immaculate, spacious and had stunning contemporary design. The kitchen was fully eqquipped for cooking. The bathroom seemed recently refurbished and we loved the rainfall shower head. Wifi had strong connection. The location was very convenient, only minutes away from the village Katelios and some gorgeous beaches, like Kaminia and Koroni. For us the highlight of our stay was the gardens, with lots of relaxing hidden corners, and lots to explore for our boy. The host is super friendly and helpful. Bonus: at night you can use the second floor terrace for a romantic star gazing. It was a very peaceful stay, I would highly recommend.

Reviewed By 467JohnB467Yes, good. Why do I say that? Well, for no real reason I found myself on this site and I just had to look at what was being said about Katelios. Oh, Katelios. What lovely memories. You see, for something like 15 years my late wife Janet and I would spend a couple of weeks in June there. Janet died in 2003 so you can work out when our visits started. Then it was a real fishing village with just three tavernas and a late night bar. I'm so pleased to be able to say that in all the time we went, and in spite of the fact that it did/has grown somewhat, it retained a special homely atmosphere. We went so often and for so long we always said that we felt like we were going home. To family. So, anybody who is thinking of going, does go, embrace the place, the people and please give them my warmest regards and thanks for providing such wonderful memories. Oh yes, if Spiros and Dennis still run The Blue Sea, please tell them that I still put a dash of Worcester Sauce in my cream and garlic mushrooms. That was supposed to be their family secret recepie. But, at 2.00am one evening, well..... PS I've had to put down 2019 as to when I went. In reality, the last time was 2002 just before Janet became ill. John, Lancashire.

Reviewed By Rega Sun bel posto, molto tranquillo a circa 1,5 km dal paese e dalla spiaggia. Proprietario molto gentile, appartamento essenziale ma pulito. Dovrebbero però cambiare le stoviglie che sono davvero troppo vecchie ormai... Nel complesso buono.

Great Location!
Reviewed By CreteCheesePieGeorge and his family couldn’t have been more accommodating during our 10 day visit, including organising the taxi from the airport. The room was a very generous size and we both agreed that the bed, was the most comfortable we have slept in apart from our own. Views from the balcony include the lush gardens filled with all sorts of fruit trees, and the sea which was beautiful. Even the basics like toilet rolls, bottled water, and mosquito plugins were all provided which was great. The main street where all the local restaurants and bars are located are within a stones throw of the property, and we were lucky to have the complex to ourselves for all but one night of our stay. We were confined to our room for one full day during the awful weather, which George apologised for!. Would definitely visit again if we ever travelled to Katelios

Reviewed By Sharon CWe have just had a week in the hercules katelios. Excellent spot our room was overlooking the beach which was opposite. Rooms were lovely. Cleaned everyday. Dimitris and staff were very friendly. The only downside was the beds a bit hard. But would definitely stay there again. Will look forward to going back. Love Sharon and steve cox
