We visited the garden/gallery and were so happy we did! It offers a beautiful and lush respite from the touristy Montego Bay hip strip. Ras greeted us and gave a brief history of the home/garden/museum and interesting experience of building on the steep hillside/cliff while a hummingbird landed in my hand to feed from the feeder. The guide was very informative and pleasant. It rained while we were there which seemed only to enhance the experience...they provided us with umbrellas.

Beautiful place built from scratch by amazingly open and gifted lady, Sharon, who's sense of art is simply something you must experience. Everything, from the place itself to every singly item offered, is hand-made and from natural materials/ingredients only. We can only regret not to have more time and visited the Sharon's temple only for few minutes before leaving to the airport. Would love to have more time there...

I had a lovely interesting time visiting the gallery accompanied by a very knowledgable local lady who was familiar with several of the artists and their work. As a tourist it was my first visit and i was also impressed by the settings and displays of so many lovely works of art.

Visited the Joe James gallery with my daughter, a student at Massachusetts College of Art & Design and my nephew, Andy & Jeff. We were treated to such a great experience in the gallery. Beautiful sculptures and paintings of blues and greens inspired by the gorgeous island of Jamaica. My favorite part was seeing his studio, left just as is...his palette and brushes sitting on the table with a folded newspaper. The research books in the book case and his hat hanging on a peg. It looks as though he just stepped out and was coming right back. So cool.
