JJ's Diner is a 1950s-themed licensed family restaurant, operating from 6:00 am until 10:00 pm daily. Also called the restaurant about a family me explained they are on strict covid protocols so no family can sit together. The bit back about a birthday party. Staff are crabby and lack of 24 made me and the family go book elsewhere to stay. I take back previous ratings about this place

Reviewed By TuppinsonNoisiest hotel we have every stayed in! Doors slamming and trucks revving engines in the parking lot in the middle of the night. You can hear the people in the room next door talking, coughing, etc. No insulation in walls between rooms. Don't let them put you in room 119. Horrible room - bathroom door would not close, toilet handle broken. And they give you powdered scrambled eggs for breakfast. Just gross. Not enough staff there to handle desk and breakfast crowd. We won't stay there again.

Located east of the town of Sussex. Timberland Motel provides clean, comfortable accommodations with a home-style restaurant, open before dawn until after dark. Outdoor heated (80 F minimum) swimming pool, pet friendly walking, biking, ATV and snowmobile trails. Country inn hospitality and excellent value. Extended stay discounts. Within an hour drive to Moncton, Saint John, or Fundy National Park.

Reviewed By AMsaysThis was a difficult place to find but once here, immediately felt at home. Checkin was a breeze, room was well maintained, clean and comfortable, so off to a good start. When I went looking for ice, Patty came out of cooking in the kitchen to get me some. Then when my ice bag broke, she did the same, It seemed everybody there was willing to help, advise or suggest. One of the people there even told me the origin of Penobsquis...? Great service. The full breakfast was excellent. One of the best experiences in my two week stay in the Maritimes....

The carpet needs to go!
Reviewed By gniteIreneDriving up to this motel was not a pleasant sight but the room itself had some good points such as a kitchenette with a full sized fridge, sink and microwave. There was a coffee maker and the beds were comfortable but that’s where the niceties ended. The room has old carpet and upon entering the room, there was a chemical odour. By nighttime the chemical smell faded and was replaced by a strong urine smell on the carpet by my bed. The bathroom was dusty, floor was dirty and we saw live earwigs and spiders on the bathroom floor. We stayed 3 nights and although our experience wasn’t horrible, we were certainly glad to leave .

Friendly owners, old room
Reviewed By TuppinsonWe stayed two nights and were surprised at how old the room was. I do not think it had been updated since the 1970s. No place to put things in the bathroom - no hooks to hang clothes when you are in shower! The owners were extremely nice and friendly. They brought breakfast to our room both mornings. Unfortunately, our second night we were invaded by large, flying ants (carpenter ants). We killed about 20 or more. Since it was late we did not alert owners until next morning. They were apologetic and put some sort of repellent on floor. I'm sure ants were in the walls eating the wood. While we liked that the room was clean (otherwise) and owners so friendly, we won't stay again in case of more insects.

Atlantic Balloon FESTIVAL.
Reviewed By Debra TWe stayed at Brooks Bed and Breakfast last weekend. It was such a beautiful place. Treasured old home. Very classy. Hostess was very nice. Continental breakfast was so great. Home was very clean. Payment can be done on line or in cash. Very close to the Atlantic balloon Festival.
