Very nice view and location
Reviewed By EBL8The location is close to all small villages like MELK and others. the river is 40m from the room, you can enjoy in hot days. the hotel team is very nice and will help very much. breakfast is also nice and generous.

An amazing stay at a farm
Reviewed By Resort78880We came to the Wachau Valley looking for the countryside, and Wili's Bauernhof delivered. Rooms are clean, tastefully decorated, and spacious. Breakfast is fantastic, with things like cold cuts, jams, and juices from the farm itself (and other things from neighboring farms). In particular, the ham and other cold cuts are some of the best we have ever tasted. The family is warm and welcoming. Christina, who runs the B&B, speaks English fluently. You might want to learn a few German phrases so you can thank Oma (Grandma) for her amazing breakfasts. Just a few small cautions: 1. This is a working farm - the bulls and tractors might wake you up early (6 or 7 AM) 2. This is about a 10 minute drive away from the main roads - arriving during daylight the first time will make finding it easier.

Reviewed By Himcream2015We stayed at Gasthaus Durregger only for a night while going back to Vienna. Room was very specious with balcony. It was more than our expectations. Check-in process was very fast, by the time we reached girl at the reception, kept everything ready (I think we were only family in the guesthouse). I believe it was family run guesthouse. Family was friendly and food was good too. Breakfast was simple but didnt disappoint us.Food menu was in German and family was German speaking, but it wasn't a big issue for us. Only remark for improvement is smoking. Smoking was allowed in the restaurant and people in the restaurant around us were smoking which make whole area smelling with cigarettes. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and service. Just a 10 mins drive away from Melk abbey.

Reviewed By Horst KEinfacher Gasthof familiengeführt. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Dazu noch überaus tierlieb. Zimmer alle mit Donaublick und sauber. Haben abends auch dort gegessen. Die übersichtliche Karte signalisiert Frische- und so war es. Leckeres Essen frisch und handgemacht zubereitet zu günstigen Preisen. Klasse. Morgens wurden wir von einem ebenso leckeren, reichhaltigem Frühstücksbuffet verwöhnt. Alles hat gepasst. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Perfect place
Reviewed By RoblambWe stayed one night in the room New Zealand. All was extremely clean. We loved the quite athmosphere, the style of the house and of the rooms. All looks so new! The owners are really kind and helpful people. All excellent, we highly recommend this place if you want to visit Melk or If you are around by bicycle.

Cute, cozy cottage!
Reviewed By BchesA bit surprised by the previous negative comments. We had a wonderful one night stay at Cottage Number 9. The owner was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The cottage is cozy with lovely furnishings and beautiful view on the woods & river. Of course there is a bit of noise due to the road in front of the cottage (even if the road is not very busy), but overall this was a great stay at a very reasonable price, and we’d certainly recommend it to friends and family.
