A hotel with a good future, but many improvements are needed
Reviewed By AntonKuninThe staff at Karimun Lumbung are awesome. The man who was there most of the time was very agreeable, willingly answered all our questions about nearby restaurants and leisure activities and served breakfast exactly as we ordered and on time. A big thank you to him! I also loved the table, the chairs and the sunchair in front on the terrace of the cottage. As to the negative points, Karimun Lumbung offers pick-up from the airport/harbour by motorbike, but they don't have helmets. Riding a motorbike without a helmet is not only unsafe, but it is also illegal. Also, the cockroaches in the cottage made our stay unpleasant and stressful. If they at least mended the different holes, cockroaches would not be able to enter. Plus, the insecticide they provide isn't efficient: cockroaches become unconscious, then after some time they wake up and run away. It would be nice if this hotel had hot water. Plus, water pressure in the shower wasn't always good. And the AC wasn't powerful. Apparently, they haven't cleaned it for a long time. I think that this hotel can potentially be a very good one in the future, but before that they need to improve on the many points highlighted above. The receptionist also told us they are planning to build a swimming pool - that will definitely be a plus once it's ready.

Bungalow're made of teak wood designed and decorated by ourselves. We're in the middle of the local village surrounded by ricefield 5minutes away from Borobudur Temple. You can meet pure local life & culture such as farm life, regular ceremony of my village etc.
Unforgettable Janur Bungalow. We will be back again soon ....

Having breakfast by the pool with a great breakfast menu, fried rice, traditional sweet cake, fruits, etc. Our favorite breakfast here fried rice ! must to try. Wake up first early morning and you will see the beautiful sun rise, and fresh air surrounded by rice fields. Rooms are very clean. Swimming pool was good for relax. Great place to stay with family. We're having very great time with walking around Janur, visiting village, making pottery using traditional techniques, visit Borobudur, etc. We are very happy with Janur owners, they are very nice hosts, we will not forget their kidness during our stay. We will miss Janur Bungalow and we will be back, someday

First timer and it was a blast!
Reviewed By pratiwinandaA beautiful cottage, so very comfy, spotlessly clean and welcoming. Frank, Mas Nino, Mas Koko and Holy are the perfect hosts and were excellent. Cano-ing with breathtaking views it was feel like walkin above the gigantic aquarium so peaceful and calm. Thank you both so very much for making our holiday so very special.

Reviewed By ronvanhoofBunga Jabe has a marvelous white sand beach. At low tide you can walk hundred of meters into the blue Java Sea. We went there to enjoy lunch, prepared by a locally famous Buginese chef. All the ingredients were fresh, so we had to wait for a while. But that was no punishment. We had a beautiful view at the sea. The serving staff was very friend ly, explaining the course. ‘Piece de résistence’ was the special cooked ‘ikan kakaktua’, parrotfish, served with white rice. The side dishes were also very tasty. After the eating we chilled in the shade of coconutpalm trees. If you are at Karimunjawa, fed up with ‘nasi goreng’ and you want an original Buginese meal, go to Bunga Jabe Beach. By the way, they offer nice hotel accomodation too. 'No smoking' because of the bamboo building materials.
