It is one of the three major towns of Slovenian Istria. The town has much medieval architecture, with narrow streets and compact houses. Piran is the administrative centre of the local area and one of Slovenia's major tourist attractions. It was great, unique experience. They really know a lot about shells and the ticket includes interesting lectures about the museum. Our seven years old son has constantly asked questions and he’s got answer to each one of them. We have learn a lot. We recommend!

We found the museum fascinating. The receptionist was extremely helpful with how to navigate around the museum. The iPad added a lot of historical context to the visit. Everything is clearly marked and well displayed.
