Atauro's first Dive Resort, our fully equipped dive centre offers daily trips to the numerous dive spots around the island. Whales and doplhins can be seen in October/November every year. Our cabins are right at the beach aswell as the restaurant where you can enjoy our delicious food, cold drinks and our home made ice cream. No eftpos/card payments available, USD CASH only accepted. Mastercards are no longer accepted anywhere in Timor Leste.

Horrible owner

Reviewed By NZ4LIFE

Amazing dive resort, dive location, local staff and diving instructors Marty, Beat and Desi. Rooms were ok wooden villas were great, accom accross the road was baking hot and horrible. Toilets are eco toilets but they smell really bad. Food was top shelf made by the local staff who really add value. Amazing home made ice cream. Vege options were great too but often no variety in meals... Volker the owner however, is a real dirty piece of work. This resort offers discounts for multiple dives however, the owner will often back track on his word. He will lie, cheat and not keep his word any chance he can if it means he saves one dollar... I do not recommend this dive resort for the reason that the owner just wants to take advantage. My suggestion is to stay at another resort on the island an be treated with respect. Its worth the extra few dollars it costs.

Chong Ti Hotel

Ok for one night!

Reviewed By DietmarGruber

This hotel is safe because there is a guard outside. They do not speak English very well, but we are in Timor-Leste. The room was clean with shower and goog beds. The price is right. Stuff was not so friendly. It is also very loud caused by music in the evening and it is also a one-hour hotel, so you know what you get.

Pouaada Maubisse

Good Family Retreat @ Pousada, Maubisse #HauNiaTimorLeste

Reviewed By Stevens_Fiji

This is a good family retreat around two and a half hours by road from Dili, if you take a slow, scenic drive up. Good idea to book your rooms (and meals, if you like) in advance, so you are not disappointed when you arrive. You will find this place relaxing with a clear view of the surrounding mountains and town/ buildings below. Might be a little cool/ cold for some children (and adults), as temperatures drop to below 18 degrees, at times, so do bring some warm clothing. However, the gardens, buildings, staff, food, atmosphere are good and you will be well looked after. Overall, good family retreat option to see the best of Maubisse. #HauNiaTimorLeste

Hotel Umaliurai

Great spot to stay

Reviewed By 915adaw

Great hotel and great value for money. The hotel is situated on the southern side of Same on the main road in very nice grounds. Our room was large and rustic, very comfortable with fridge and ensuite and a great balcony overlooking the swimming pool. Very nice breakfast was included. Evening meals are great value and huge. This hotel is a must stay if your want accomodation in the Same region.

Future Holiday Hotel

Friendly

Reviewed By 439nevilles

We were recommended this motel by our friends who live in Dili, well priced and breakfast is available if required, free laundry service is a bonus, also free Wi-Fi and the rooms are large and clean. No fridge in the room but one is available in the communal kitchen, there is a long flight of stairs up from the street which could be a problem for some people

Timor Backpackers

Expensive, but for us a very good location.

Reviewed By Candycrab

We had a bungalow, right across the swimming pool. We stayed there for 2 weeks. The room was big, nice and quiet. The kitchen was okay, except not fully equiped. The swimming pool didn't look very clean. Pool towels were available, but a few times we had to look for someone who could provide them. WIFI was pretty good in the room. We could only book logies. Drinking water is provided. There's a supermarket next door to the hotel. Groceries are expensive. If you have time and you want to save money, go to the local market. There are many restaurants on walking distance. Across the street is the sea, but it is not recommended to swim there. The location was very good for us, because the diving operation was at the same location and there was a lot of variety in restaurants. Like everything in Timor Leste the room was expensive

The best of Suai

Reviewed By Phillipa S S

A quiet gem in the periphery of Suai city. Loved this place. Rooms are large enough, with a comfortable standard double bed, and AC. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. They responded to requests and fitted a reading lamp into my room. I am thankful for that. The business center is upstairs, and they also bring the ventilator if it gets too hot, which it often does. In the restaurant, food is good and of a good variety too, They were flexible and made some meals as per request, even when not on the menu. There is a mini-market attached to the hotel, which I find convenient. Some 5 minutes drive southwards you are at the southern ocean. And some five minutes driving séastwards you are at the Xanana Gusmao airport. See you in Suai! Our stay here was quite memorable.
