7 Sights & Landmarks in Cote-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grace That You Shouldn't Miss

September 13, 2021 Sheron Bogner

Montreal, c’est si bon! This French-speaking city is considered the cultural capital of Canada, and is a cosmopolitan celebration of Québécois style. A horse-drawn carriage ride around the cobblestone streets and grand buildings of Vieux-Montréal will give you a taste of European flavor. The Basilique Notre-Dame is a confection of stained glass, and the Plateau Mont-Royal district will delight you with its quaint boutiques and cafés. Dig in to a massive plate of poutine to fuel up for a tour of the epic Olympic Park.

Monkland Avenue

You want to eat Ethiopian or French food? You need fancy pastries? You want to shop for clothes that are out of the ordinary? Then Monkland street is the place to go! Its easy access and relative proximity to downtown make it a place of choice for any tourist. It is pedestrian friendly, and the large sidewalks make it easy for parents who are pushing a crib. A definite go-to (I also lived there for a few years)
