Reviewed By PheasyelviriaImpossible to find without the owner meeting you as it is down a back alley in the medina / souq. To unload a car you have to risk unloading in the main square where there is no parking and police are happy to fine you. A girl on her own definitely should not consider this place as you will have to wonder around in the souq on your own.The noise goes on most of the night and is amplified by the echo down the tiny souq alleys. Tiny room and even smaller shower room. Impossible to shower without making the whole room wet. No aircon and no fan unless you ask for one but then you have to find where to put it! The room was very hot. However it was clean. They will not serve breakfast until 09:00 so useless if you want an early start but the breakfast was OK if you did have it. Would only accept cash as payment. Was over priced. Better places available I am sure. This is a poor quality guest house NOT a hotel. In no way should it be thought of as a hotel. If you are in a car there is a car park up the road (look for the P sign), for about 2€ per night.

it s a 19 century house located in the Medina of Larache ,3 min walking from the port where you can buy your fish directly from the sinner; the house it restored with a Moroccan know how exclusively with traditional materials procuring a delicate sensation of coolness and well-being.

Reviewed By johnmK9767QEThis property is stunning and restored immaculately. The Owner Aziz is a wonderful man who I am now lucky enough to call a friend. The Riad is in the sleepy fishing village of Larache but an evening spent at Sultana and if your lucky a conversation with Aziz will be a treasure for life!

Super friendly with a lot of old world charm
Reviewed By xblueI have to admit that my review is biased because I’m in a sort of love affair with this hotel. We stayed here on one of our earlier Morocco trips in 2011 or 2012 and were happy to get a room on our most recent trip in June 2019 as well. All booking websites showed no availability, but we just walked in, asked and were given the choice between two rooms. The hotel’s location is perfect, right on the lively Place de la Liberté in the heart of Larache (but the windows are new and quite soundproof). Cars can be parked at a rate of 15 Dirhams per night on a strip in front of the hotel (in case it’s full you can also use a reserved space in a side lane). What you have to know about Hotel España is that it is a pretty old building, dating back to the 1920s. This shows, and that’s exactly what the charm of the place is all about. It is not hip or polished, there have been only a handful of additions like air conditions, light switches and modernized bathrooms, but everything else just breathes history. The big pro’s beside the prime location are the cleanliness and, first and foremost, the incredibly friendly attitude of the people who work here. All of them are so polite, nice and trustworthy that we felt at home right away. We might have stayed at properties in Morocco which offered more comfort, brighter rooms or better features like infinity pools or rooftop terraces - but we found almost no other place that made us feel as welcome and happy as Hotel España. As an added bonus they now serve breakfast which was even included in our 385 Dirham room rate. If you go to Larache, please make sure to stay at this gem of a hotel, appreciate its history and marvel about the little wonders (how on earth does every member of the reception staff always know who you are and which room you’re in, no matter whether you have met them before?). From our side definitely one of the strongest recommendations we can give in Morocco.

Reviewed By Clientemisterio2018Opinion solo del restaurante, no tuve estancia en el hotel. Nos ofrecieron un menú que debería darles vergüenza de ofrecer. Pedimos un cóctel de gambas (crudas) sobre lechugas y salsa rosa,un filete de ternera seca y quemada con papas fritas congeladas y un flan "casero" de cualquier supermercado. Otras personas salieron de la carta y la cosa no mejoró en absoluto. Que los tours te lleven a estos sitios es de vergüenza, el tour mundimarok es uno de ellos y realmente es indignante, el precio de un menú así sería de 70 dirham y no de 130.
