More a Hikers' Refuge
Reviewed By Chris WThis is more a hiker's refuge than a hotel. Set between the sea and the mountains near St Pierre, there are good black-sand beaches very close and good restaurants on them in Le Carbet. However the on-site restaurant 1643 is under separate management and is pricey. There are derelict buildings on the site. Our second floor room had no balcony (although one was promised by Hotels.com) but we were offered access to the shared balcony below. Shutters but no windows, so trying to avoid mosquitoes by not turning lights on meant early nights. Pillows and towels were poor. Described as "spooky" by my wife, but it does offer rooms in this interesting corner of Martinique (don't miss the Gauguin Museum next door).

Reviewed By juliegN6021ZZaccueil fort desagreable. nous attendions l ouverture sous une chaleur ecrasante qvec notre bébé. personne nous repondait malgres la sonnette et l heure de l ouverture passee. nous nous sommes permis de pousser le portillon pour nous mettre a l ombre avec notre bébé et le monsieur est arrivé en nous criant dessus car nous avions osé pousser le portillon et rentrer. Bonjour l accueil !!!!!!!!!!!! Enorme blatte dans la cuisine. sable au sol. Mais appartement spacieux . bien que decoration peu soignée. Ils cherchent au maximum la rentabilité. Déçus....

Reviewed By sarahrT8486SEWir kamen recht spät an, der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Das Apartment ist groß und sauber. Alles in der Küche vorhanden was man braucht. Eine Terrasse ist auch vorm Haus. Die Lage ist ruhig. Der Weg zur Unterkunft recht kurvenreich, liegt ja auch hoch in den Bergen. Da wir am ersten Tag nicht einkaufen konnten, bekamen wir ein Frühstück vor Ort :) Um die Unterkunft rum ist alles grün und üppig!

Wonderful place
Reviewed By kumalo1977I had a wonderful stay at a perfect place with the nicest host I could imagine. The house is located just a 5 minutes drive from the nearest beaches but you are within the nature with your own part of River and waterfall. A perfect place to relax and just do nothing except enjoying the songs of the forest. No WiFi/Air-condition ( you don't need it anyways)

Caribbean House is a quiet place with 2 apartments and 1 villa with garden and swimming-pool. Caribbean Sea is less than 100m and you can go to the beach by walking.
