Reviewed By CherylN222We had an awesome stay at the Mantra in Lake Tekapo. Huge apartment and everything you would need for a family of 4. Also very clean and serviced daily. Heating was great as the weather was cold. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook as the restaurants were all booked or closed in the town.

Reviewed By Kikki0This was a bit of splash out for us but it was worth every penny: the view, the (gas) fireplace, the service, the little nice details throughout the apartment. What a lovely stay: the views are AMAZING. High recommend. Did not want to leave.

Each of our luxury self-contained suites enjoys absolute and uninterrupted views of Lake Tekapo, the Southern Alps and the lake’s surrounding mountain ranges. One of the best scenic vistas in Lake Tekapo!!
Wonderful stay
Reviewed By PalmyNorthMy husband and I stayed here for one night and we both wished we could have stayed longer. Nice location about 15 min walk from Tekapo centre. Very peaceful, lovely views. Very clean and modern. Extremely comfy bed. Well set up if you wanted to cook anything, we weren’t there long enough for that but it would be handy if staying longer. We would love to come back and stay again.

Five star apartment style living with thru wall gas fires between the bedroom and living area, fully tiled bathrooms with heated floor and freestanding bathtub, magnificent lake and mountain views from the deck, living area and bedroom, kitchenette including fridge and dishwasher plus full laundry facilities.
Lovely Spot
Reviewed By Acr124We spent 2 nights at the Mackenzie Suits smallest unit, the barn. The view of Lake Tekapo and the mountains was amazing, especially after it had snowed overnight. The unit was clean and tidy, well furnished with everything you needed + more. The only downside for us was the bed, it was a small double bed. I probably wouldn’t stay in this unit again for that reason. I think the other units had bigger beds. Overall lovely spot with lovely views.

34 Mackenzie Apartments offers modern budget accomodation in the heart of the Mackenzie region - Twizel. The self check in apartments are located 150m to local shops and restaurants and geographically is perfectly placed half way between Queenstown and Christchurch. There are 5 individual apartments that have been renovated within an older style house - each with its own private entrance and ensuite bathroom.

Reviewed By Flyin_KiwiWe stayed in Twizel for Sealy Tarns, and Hooker Valley tracks. Only took about 40mins to get out there. (Go early, it gets busy. We did these over 2 days, we had both tracks done by 11am each day and headed back). Couldn't be happier with this place. We stayed in the King Deluxe - one bedroom. It was modern and tidy. Comfy bed, nice hard shower pressure. The unit we booked also had a Washing Machine, and Fridge Freezer. This was such a luxury, and it was well utilised. Thankfully it also had a good Air Con/Heat Pump. It was quite hot so this was a life saver especially at night. Location so handy and close to everything. Wifi was good, bonus was a Netflix subscription. Communication good and check in/out easy. Exceeded expectations and we will definitely be re-booking when we return, and letting others know about this place.
