Reviewed By Margz72The location was great. It was quiet and the view from the room was second to none. We stayed in a motel unit that looked out over the ocean. The local Pukekos kept us entertained as we drank our morning coffee on the deck.

Reviewed By DayTrip61178706488Lovely peaceful setting, great bird song, privately screened park for motorhome. Great hot shower facility. Kitchen not well stocked, but apparently you need to get things from reception, no signage conveying this info. Only Top10 to charge is $5 for our dog - not sure why this charge? However we love the park and would return in future.

We are located 15kms west of New Plymouth. Our park is right on Oakura Beach with all of our Units and most of our sites having sea views. Oakura Beach is popular for swimming, surfing and windsurfing. The village has several excellent art and craft boutiques, cafe's, restaurants and a bar.Pets are welcome from February through until November - Some of our Units are Pet friendly as well.We have an small activity each day for the children at the park through the month of January.A shuttle bus runs from Oakura to the New Plymouth town Monday - Friday and Airport Transport can be arranged.

Reviewed By Issjah KThis is an excellent location with beachfront cabins. Very clean and modern, friendly and helpful staff. Outdoor furniture to sit on the deck to enjoy the sunset. Bathroom a little bit cramped, but good shower. Will stay there again.

Reviewed By moggy89630We were booked in for several events over a weekend in February of which all were cancellled because of our shift in Covid traffic light settings, Beware of their booking conditions which at the time of our booking do not have Covid conditions and their interpretation of "large events" can be anything they want it to be. You will NOT get any of your money refunded.

Urenui Beach Camp is situated 30 minutes north of New Plymouth, just off SH3 just north of Urenui Township. It is located within the unique Urenui Domain. The Urenui Domain is located on a spit of land at the mouth of the Urenui River and has been a summer recreation ground for more than 100 years. We are a family friendly camp with a children's playground and on site shop full of lovely holiday treats. We have Wifi installed which covers all of the domain area. The beach and tidal river are ideal for swimming, boating and fishing. We also have a wonderful 9 hole golf course adjacent to the camp, complete with sea and mountain views. We do not allow dogs within our camp so please make alternative arrangements for them. Urenui Beach Camp is a wonderful holiday destination in a unique Taranaki coastal environment
Don’t go Mid winter
Reviewed By Alipa50This is a summer camp only unless you have one of the many old batches in the avenues. The shop was closed and the weather wet and cold and the beach unsafe with rough waves and strong undertow. The river is tidal so you have to pick your time. There are some nice way walks and a lovely country golf course which is popular with the locals.
