Still the best

Our first stay was in January 2022. It’s May 2022 and we’re back. Dive shop. Aka Great Adventures Bonaire. In a word…Excellent. Pepe manages it with tact and grace. Bonnie is dive master extraordinaire who was my teacher for a fascinating and fun PADI course in reef restoration. Highly recommended!! It encouraged me to visit the Reef Restoration Foundation Bonaire close by. I’m hooked in preserving and fostering the reefs. Raul deserves honorable mention as dive master on a couple of boat dives I took with them. He has a sharp eye but is cautious which is always appreciated. Kischa who’s name I bungled no doubt was also very gracious behind the action. Thanks to all! The beach is exactly as advertised. Even better. There’s great snorkeling within the roped off swimming area which is huge btw. I saw eels, schools of blue tang. Cow fish and trunk fish are my strange looking favs. One can also see the propagation trees where reef restoration is started. Even saw a bait ball a couple times. So much more! I sound like an advertisement I know. I’m from raleigh NC and no affiliation. Rooms are great. This time we were off the marina but close to open ocean. Housekeeping service was without flaw and very pleasant. Plenty of everything we needed including towels. Steffi at front desk deserves a mention here especially in keeping us apprised about our departing flight delay. Ugh. To be honest I would say that otherwise some of the front desk staff might need a bit more training. But nothing more than a bit of confusion. Last time we were quite displeased with the restaurant. Happy to say I enjoyed it much more this time around. One suggestion to management would be to eliminate the price fix menu on Saturday when a delta plane arrives. It gives the patron the wrong impression. Also last time didn’t care for the live music. It’s not that the musician wasn’t very talented. Rather a live singer or whatever is the last thing I want to be listening to when I’m straining to hear the sound of water lapping up against the rocks. Especially that first night. This is a luxury resort. It’s expensive but I think it delivers value. Enjoy.

Exceeding service excellence

On the night when we had dinner at the beautiful Brass Boer Restaurant (which is located on the same property) one of our phones got lost. And we would fly out the next day! The next morning we searched the restaurant but came up empty. With little hope left, we asked Delfins to also please be on the lookout for our phone. One hour before our flight, Delfins unexpectedly called me up saying the phone had been found! The coworker rushed to the airport and delivered the phone to us. Wow! This kind act of service proofs that Delfins' care for people literally goes beyond their beach resort area.

Pleasant hotel for a week's stay

Reviewed By 107adriany

The room was basic - not clothes cupboard, only a rack, for example. However, with a kettle and fridge it was adequate. Room was a decent size with a tidy bathroom and a simple terrace. WiFi was free and quite strong. There was a large diving party staying which meant that the car park was sometimes full by the time one gets back from work. Breakfast was very good on a beachside terrace. Bar was pleasant too. It's a 25 minute walk into the centre of Kralendijk.

New name is The Bonairian

Reviewed By Toverman

When i visited this place in jan.2019, the place was called The Bonairian. See the reviews over there. Or read my review here: Almost next to the airports landing strip, lies this beautiful hotel and restaurant. The few planes that land here are mostly smaller ones and were no problem for us. I even liked the few bigger ones landing so close. We stayed for 5 days and really loved it here. Besides the airport, the location at the waterfront is perfect; stunning sunsets over the sea and a small spot where you can walk straight into the water. Bring your snorkel-stuff! The tropic fish are right there. The rooms are few but nice, clean and with a nice view; we overlooked the small pool. The beds are fine. Everything you expect is there. Now for the restaurant: the cook Carlos is amazing. The food he prepares is allways very nice; the staff is hard working and pleasant. There is one thing though: it often takes a while to get your order. But it is worthwhile! Just sit back and enjoy the scenery.
