Reviewed By Vball-traverlerWe had left the Fortress of Werfen where we saw the falcon demonstration. It was hot in the courtyard and we needed some refreshments, so we stopped off here and enjoyed the peaceful setting for some snacks and drinks.

Nice hotel, good food but on the main road
Reviewed By EnglishinbernA great stop for visiting Werfen with its impressive castle and Sound of Music trail. Ask for a room at the back if you're a light sleeper as the main road is very busy. Bedrooms are smart and simple, food is plentiful and delicious, staff very friendly. Good value for money all round

Reviewed By RainbowtravelgirlLocation is awesome ! The hotel- restaurant faces the Hohenwerfen castle,a backdrop of the Sound of Music song " Do Re Mi ". Driving way up offers incredible mountain views then on a lovely sunny day the Castle. Such fairytale sceneries. I was blown-away. The owner was very accommodating. He offered us welcome drinks to let us enjoy the terrace that overlooks the castle. An Austrian hospitality. He speaks basic English. The rooms facing the castle were full. He offered the rooms behind facing the huge and grand mountain views. Room is neat and cozy with a veranda facing the green hills. Toilet is on the small side though. Wifi is good. Breakfast is tasty. Dinner is simply delicious. The lady serving us speaks good English and cordial. At breakfast time you are asked how your eggs be done. From the hotel, one can go up if one likes to visit the world's largest ice cave.We did it and the stunning autumn ambiance is heavenly. The "Sound of Music Trail " and castle visit are things to do not far from here too. The overnight became a 2 day stay. Highly recommended !

Reviewed By Richard LMy first diner at the Ogauer way many years ago back when Phillips dad was running things. The quality of dining at Obauer is like only one other restaurant in the world that I have been to in Sans, France. The dining experiance will be your new level to judge all diners after that evening. Quality, Taste, Value is worth every Euro you spend. For many years I recieved Appercot jam for Christmas as a gift from Phillip having been a friend of his dads.

Reviewed By timkF1562TSThe hotel is located in the centre of Werfen. There are amasing views to the rear of the hotel and there is a small balcony tosit out in. The rooms are small and basic. The breakfast was good and the owner very friendly.
