the real German feeling
Reviewed By anneke1This hotel is located in the Rothaargebirge in Germany. It is a hundred meters away from the famous Rothaarsteig, a path of 154 km.length. It is a paradise for hikers. The hotel offers transfers to places in the neighbourhood, so you can walk back to the hotel. You can find rest here and a gorgeous scenery. You won´t find shops, discotheques and pubs. The hotel is situated in a authentic German building and it is serving real German food: if an old German granny is cooking. Delicious, although the German kitchen is bad for slimming down. The rooms are very, very clean. The hotel offers a simple sauna and a hydro jet massage bed. Breakfast is ok, dinner is ok. Prices are ok, only the drinks are rather expensive. The staff is friendly but a little bit formal. The staff is too busy, they have to run the reception and the kitchen and the bar as well. So as a guest you don´t get all the attention. But you get the real German feeling here!

Der herzliche und freundliche Empfang, die blitzesaubere und modern eingerichtete Wohnung, die Mitbenutzung des sehr gepflegten Gartens, die hilfreichen Radtourtipps und das tolle Frühstück ließen uns positiv und gestärkt in den neuen Tag starten. Als dann das Liegerad meines Mannes nach wenigen Kilometern nicht mehr fahrtauglich war, haben uns die Gastgeberin und ihre Familie selbstverständlich zur Seite gestanden und uns eine entlastende Heimfahrt ermöglicht. Tausendfachen Dank! Wer eine Übernachtung mit Herz und Wohlfühlatmosphäre sucht ist hier richtig aufgehoben. Auf die zusätzlich angebotenen Rad- und Wandertouren sollte man ein Blick werfen. Es lohnt sich bestimmt! Immer wieder gerne!!!
