La Finca de la Vaca - Swiss Bistro Cumanda is in the path of the Orchids 20 km from Puyo , Banos 35km and only 20 minutes from the airport Shell. The tents have shared bathrooms , are under a large hut with fire and equipped with 1 sleeping (sleeping bag ) and 1 mat per person. La Finca de la Vaca has a famous Swiss Bistro restaurant with Swiss and European specialties is open from 09h00 to 22h00 . Breakfast service is included and a la carte dishes at an additional cost . It is a lovely place with gardens of rest , rivers, ponds and 50 acres of protected forest and offers the possibility to enjoy riding , bathing in rivers , relax in the gardens , fishing in the lakes and discover the secrets of the forest and the ruins of the old Penal Cumanda . Your meeting point for gastronomy, adventure and relaxation in nature , which is located in the Parish of Rio Cumanda between Black and Mera via Banos - Puyo , Pastaza River crossing .

Reviewed By greg_in_CAI'm sure this is a nice place to stay, but as a tourist passing by on the highway, it would be helpful that the sign mentioned that the restaurant is only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and that it noted the correct distance to the Finca is 3.1 km, not 1.5 km.

Reviewed By kricket56We had an enjoyable one night stay at Hosteria Farallon. We had a suite which included a tv, a mini fridge and a shared balcony looking over the river. The bed was super comfortable. The food was fantastic. Don't skip the Yucca fries. The pool was one of the biggest I've seen in Ecuador that's not public. You can actually swim laps in there if you want and it was warm. It's located in a quiet area a little out of town. The wifi was strong and the people working there were nice. Since it's 2020, I have to mention that there is plenty of space to social distance in all of the shared spaces. The staff wore masks during all interactions.

Reviewed By 513luislEl viaje es largo desde Riobamba, pero vale la pena, al llegar un gran puente que cruzar, la combinación perfecta entre lo natural y el confort, es un lugar maravilloso , todo es perfecto, la dueña muy amable, el guía para la caminata es increíble, nos ayudo en todo la caminata mas de una hora por la selva, para llegar a una cascada mágica, si viajan a Palora es lo mejor.

Fantastic Experience in the Jungle
Reviewed By Amatuer_FishermanMy wife and her family visited Palora, Ecuador and needed to find comfortable accommodations for five. We arrived at the end of the holiday season and had the property to ourselves. We were greated warmly by the owners. This isn't a Five Star Hotel but it's a great place to stay while exploring Palora and surrounding areas. We can't wait to return, stay longer and enjoy side trips down River Pastaza and into the jungle. Visiting the Sangay Tea plantation, which grows and sells tropical plants also, was a strong recommendation by the owners of the finca and we were so happy they recommended this side trip.
