Great rooms, nice owners
Reviewed By DorisHeimgartnerThis place was a real good experience. Our room was tidy, clean, comfy and had stylish decoration. The beds are good and bathroom is adequately spacious. Included breakfast was tasty. The owner was very friendly, he even offered us free drinks at the bar when we had a little problem with opening the door to our room.

Good hotel, but improvement can be made
Reviewed By FlaureMondeNice hotel in general. Nice welcome from the French receptionist, very nice pool, sauna and relax area, good complete breakfast. But sleeping has been a bit of a stuggle. The room was much too warm, even with the window open by 5 degrees outside. Got woken up by the sunlight at 5:00am because the curtains are not enough to keep the room dark. A shame in the country of the midnight sun... When telling that to the receptionist while checking out, we got a grin and "well yes, it's starts to be summer". Yes, we get that, we live an hour away from Arvidsjaur. But if we manage to get our own bedroom dark, a hotel should be able to do that as well. Poor sens of service to answer that way, make us feel like we are 2 guests in a million (of course it's the case, but don't make your guests feel that way!). Unfortunately, there was also renovation just below our room and we got to hear the building noises from 7:00. Got apology for that.

Welcome to Arvidsjaur and Camp Gielas! Camp Gielas, by the southern entrance to Arvidsjaur and within walking distance of the centre, is open all the year round.
A very average experience
Reviewed By djaindependentWednesday 27th May to Thursday 28th May. The accommodation here had pretty much everything for a one-night stay, including a toilet and shower. There was no evening meal option or a breakfast one, so we had a microwave dinner and made our own breakfast from the supermarket. Checking in was simple, well organised and pretty anonymous. This is a large camp with all sorts of facilities and overnight accommodation is just one of them. Bed and Breakfast in Sweden is odd, from an English standpoint. Sometimes towels, sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers are provided, sometimes not (you always get the duvets and pillows). When travelling you need to have all this stuff with you. This is one of four overnight stops and four reviews during our trip from Hargshamn to Kiruna and back where we experienced every variation of facility. This deal didn’t include bedding or towels and one had to do one’s own maid duties on leaving, which is not entirely unusual in Sweden. It was functional, a bit pricey and whilst the little accommodation block was clean and functional, there remained a background odour of one-time tobacco smoking, which seemed to have infiltrated the fabric of the building. Verdict: Pricey. I would probably look for an alternative were I to be here again. Price: Accommodation only, provide your own bedding and towels (€72.31) (SEK 850).

Reviewed By Tobias SEntering the Hotel or leaving the Hotel most of the staff (I believe it's the boss and his wife) give you the feeling that you are not welcome. They don't say hello or goodbye. One exception is one young girl from the reception. Gym is about 300m away from the Hotel in an other building. After having a shower the bathroom is flooded. Rooms are ok. Breakfast is ok. Overall not a place to recommend.

Rebecca hat mich persönlich am Flughafen abgeholt und von Anfang an hat man die Freude gespürt mit der Sie und Thomas die Lodge führen. Die Zimmer sind herzig und heimelig eingerichtet, die Etagendusche teilt man sich mit dem anderen Zimmer (alles ist tiptop sauber). Die Mahlzeiten werden im Cafe eingenommen und werden täglich frisch aus mehrheitlich regionalen Produkten zubereitet. Die Lounge lädt zum verweilen ein und Thomas & Rebecca können einem viel über die Schwedische Natur erzählen. Einzig was man wissen sollte: Da zwei Hunde zum Haushalt gehören riecht das Treppenhaus etwas nach Hund:-) Sonst aber wärmstens zu empfehlen!
