Our hostel is located in the Musial part of the town and is easy to be found. All the rooms are well furnished and they have a view of Gjirokastra's Castle which is on of the oldest and biggest in Balkans. As far as the food is concerned you can taste traditional and homemade food.

Reviewed By Thenomad07It's rare to see a hostel like this one. Clean, well equipped, friendly staff (a couple) with access to a great kitchen. Though, they didn't work on building a community, they don't promote their dinners, but their breakfast is great. They went the extra mile by helping me find what I was looking for in the city. A perfect hostel - you must stay here!
Reviewed By Faithalicious_xWould 100% stay here again when in Gjirokaster. I had a brilliant time ROOMS: Dorm rooms are spacious with lockers underneath the beds. Each bed has a light and plug. The beds are super comfortable - I had the best nights sleep here of my entire trip. There is AC in the rooms too, and they are super clean. FACILITIES: The bathroom is also very clean with hot, powerful showers. There is a kitchen for cooking should you need it as well as books and a laptop. There is a lovely outdoor terrance and indoor seating space for chilling. Wifi is good. SERVICES: Breakfast is amazing - eggs, bread and spreads, fruit, cheese, home made cake. The hostel runs great tours including a walking tour and also a jeep tour to various interesting places in the surrounding areas (that would be impossible to get to alone) - viewpoints, waterfalls, Roman ruins, monasteries - it was an excellent tour! STAFF: Brilliant, super helpful and super knowledgable. There’s a great,friendly vibe at this hostel. LOCATION: Based in the old town, the hostel is a 20 min walk from the bus station. All of the main sites of Gjirokster can be walked to in minutes

Guest House run by an albanian family. Silver Hill guest house is situated in the heart of Gjirokaster City just 5 minutes’ walk from the famous Gjirokaster Castle and 1 minute from Skenduli House and Enver Hoxha’s former family home and in easy walking distance from all of the tourist spots of Gijirokaster. Room for improvement
Reviewed By verub bThe owner and his mother were nice people, and he picked us up and took us to the bus station for no cost. His mum gave us water melon one morning. The hostel itself is nice but definitely needs much more attention that it gets - daily cleaning of the kitchen, bathrooms and toilets, supplying the toilets with toilet paper (we had to ask for toilet paper one morning and he brought the toilet paper in the evening...). There could be tables in the courtyard but there is only rubbish. Missing handles of the bathroom and kitchen door, hard to close the back door in the kitchen and some windows, one toilet was not stable,... Also, the stove works only on electricity so half of it does not work as it is on gas and the owner said it's ok for him. Did not care that it was not ok for us. Cooking on gas is much healthier than cooking on electricity. The rooms were nice and clean.

Reviewed By Machapuchare01While cycling through Albania we needed a hotel in Kelcyre. Luckily we passed by this hotel. The location is great with some nice views. The rooms are basic but clean and the owners are super friendly.
