The first room we were placed in, the pull out bed was the worst i have ever seen. The mattress was so worn out, you could feel every single spring. I was sore for two days after sleeping on it. We finally found a nice lady, who was willing to help us relocate to have a suitable bed to sleep in. The new room met with us with a leaky air conditioner and so much condensation from the vents. This puddled on the marble floor, which was a huge safety issue considering we have two small children. The safety was also a concern on the balcony, with a huge space in the railing and very wobbly banisters. Loose concrete and broken tiles at the pool also was a safety issue. When opening the cabinet, a bug fell out. The hospitality was the worst I have ever experienced. There were only two employees that were nice. We are unable to get enough towels to even shower with, we are a party of 6, we were given two towels, two hand towels and one washcloth. They said that was all they had. The following day we requested more towels at 9:00 am, after four calls and a trip to the office, we finally received them at 3:00 pm. You basically have to go to the front desk for anything you need. The one restaurant and one bar would some days close as early as 4:00. Which meant they had no snacks, food, or drinks available for purchase. So don’t plan on getting dinner there. The "free wifi" only works at the pool and on the balcony at times. In one of the rooms, there was an electrical issue and the outlets didn't work. They did have it fixed the following day. The room is old and smells. One of the wall hangings had mold growing in it, along with mold in the shower grout. Most of the faucets and hardware are corroded. At the pool there is no changing rooms, lots of filth in the corners, and the bar just randomly closes at whatever time they want. The hotel also doesn't do a very good job keeping the beach clean. The umbrellas and falling apart and trash on the sand. Along with piles and piles of seaweed that has not been removed. They had a tractor out one day clearing. The outdoor staff did a good job keeping the common areas clean. The rooms are so old and contain so much moisture, everything feels soggy and has rusted everything in the room. This resort did not hold up to the standards we expect and pay for with RCI. We have had many Caribbean vacations and never seen a place like this.

Worst Service Experienced

Arrived the property at around 3pm. Construction is going on and so noisy. This is not stated in the website when we booked the hotel. Since we are working remotely and have lots of conference calls, this set up will never work for us so we ask nicely if we could cancel the booking. The lady told us that the bookings are non-refundable and they cannot do anything on their side. We called the site where we booked the hotel and they said that they are fine to do the refund as long as the hotel is okay with it. But the hotel refuse to do it and when we insist on having the refund, the staff chase us away and told us that we have to leave and call a taxi without our permission. The staff also ask the construction workers to hide and they claim that no construction going on! However when we just arrived, they said that the construction is for them to have a viewdeck in the property and suddenly they claim that theres no construction going on!!Terrible right. and when we want to take photo of the constrution work, the staff stops up. The people in this property is ABSOLUTELY RUDE! They dont know what good service is. People, if you will stay in Nassau, please AVOID this place at all cost. Its expensive, the room is not that even clean, and the service is at worst state. We will never be back in Bahamas again. Worst experience we ever encounter. *ps. thats the only photo that i manage to take cos they stop me and as you can see, theres no more workers cos they ask them to hide.

Dolphin Cove to Colindale “Switcheroo”

Reviewed By 744alyciab

This place was mostly nice with two bathrooms, but the second floor bathroom that was not properly cleaned upon our arrival. There were hairs on the floor, and that was pretty gross. We actually booked Dolphin Cove down the street and we were surprised to be driven to these apartments at the last minute. Colindale Apartments were slightly not gated because the gate was open for the duration of our stay, and the apartment was not on the marina as advertised. I believe we payed more than we should have because we got less, but it just doesn’t seem worth the time to dispute. The manager of Dolphin Cove was friendly.

Fountain Bay Resort & Marina

Delightful stay for our 40th anniversary

Reviewed By Susanjprism

Felicia texted before we arrived to ask if we were celebrating anything special. I replied that we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. She picked us up from the New Bight Airport and took us to pick up our rental car. We then followed her back to the resort and our bungalow. She and her staff had decorated the bungalow beautifully! There were tropical flowers and leaves everywhere. The bed was decorated with bougainvillea, leaves, and a towel sculpture of a rabbit. The bathroom was decorated with more bougainvillea and tropical leaves. The lounge chairs on the porch were decorated with palm fronds and towels. The outdoor teak table was covered with bougainvillea and chilled champagne! We never expected any of this! It was so lovely and thoughtful. We sat at the teak table, enjoyed the sparkling wine, and took in the beautiful view of the turquoise water and setting sun. Our stay was delightful. The bungalow was new. It had both an indoor and outdoor shower, washer and dryer, kitchen, and comfortable bed. The air conditioner worked very well. We ate most of our meals at the Fountain Bay restaurant. The owners grow some of the vegetables served in the restaurant. All of the food was delicious and beautifully presented. At Fountain Bay we played in the water, kayaked, and just relaxed. We saw crabs, turtles, starfish, stingrays and several different kinds of fish and coral. Everyone at Fountain Bay was kind, considerate, and helpful. We definitely enjoyed our vacation at Fountain Bay.
