Reviewed By Haja786It's a pleasure to share and write a review on TripAdvisor once again after 2 years unable to travel due to covid. Also, it's a great pleasure to share and write about Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort which is close to my heart. I have written a review on Sofitel Krabi before. However, this will be a unique experience due to Covid rules and safety-related information in my review. We are a family of 7 including young children who stayed in Sofitel Krabi. In a nutshell, Sofitel Krabi is located in a beautiful location that is sea front-facing and has a golf range. I believe it has Thailand's largest pool in a resort with a magnificent view. Transport: We booked the hotel transport throughout our stay from pick from the airport, tour around Krabi, sending us back to the airport again. The Sofitel Krabi played important role in keeping the driver and guest safety a top priority. Sofitel added an acrylic panel behind the driver. I believe this is really a good idea during this covid time. A Special Thank you to our chauffeur Mr. K.Keem for his excellent customer service and professionalism. Some of his kind gestures toward young children are beyond words. One area of improvement would be the availability of a chauffeur. At night time like 7 pm when we wanted hotel transport, the vehicle is available but not the driver. Instead, the front guest officer booked for us to outsource the transport company. Which is fine with us too. Front Office / Check in / Check out: We were welcomed by Ms.Sea. Her welcoming smile, knowledge, providing a solution, and customer service was excellent throughout our stay. She ensure that our check-in was fast & provided excellent suggestions when handling our room requests during our check-in. I also would like to thank Ms. K.Bright front office staff for her patience with our requests and for fulfilling them accordingly. Overall all front office staff showed excellent customer service, understanding and showcase good knowledge by ensuring our needs are fulfilled. Restaurant: Maya Restaurant is our breakfast location. The Restaurant provides hand gloves for guests to wear when they come in contact with the buffet gears as precautionary covid measures. It's a good move as some Guests may not be comfortable touching them. The ambiance was excellent in both indoor and outdoor settings. The food variety was decent. Maya Restaurant use to provide an excellent variety of food during pre-covid plus menu rotation. Sofitel should consider slowly bringing it back. It's a big setback that the hotel closes lotus restaurant. It use to serve best both Thai and Indian cuisine. We saw a number of south Indian and north Indian Guests in the hotel. I don't see any Indian option in in-room dining or Maya restaurant. I use to enjoy their Indian food as the chef during pre-covid was from India itself. It's hard to enjoy a good authentic Indian in a foreign country. The pool bar menu is so limited as well. As a designated restaurant for lunch, it's disappointing to see such limited options. Having said the little disappointment about the food variety, I must compliment and best wishes to both Ms. Nit & Mr. Kim for their excellent customer service, attention to detail, and going beyond the expected service. My Family use to sit in a specific location throughout our stay for breakfast since we are with young children. Not all table was set up with the table mat and cutleries. Both Ms. Nit & Mr. Kim notice our usual place for breakfast. To our surprise, they set up our usual table with a baby chair and necessary cutleries. Both Ms. Kit & Mr. Kim notice my son enjoys fresh fries and they prepare them on our following visit when we arrive for our breakfast. They even prepared a fruit platter for my family with kind words. Both Ms. Nit & Mr. Kim turn moments into memories for my family and me. Both are superstars and exemplary for customer service. In-Room Dining: The food was served fast and it tasted delicious. Excellent customer service by the in-room dining personnel who deliver the food. However, as mentioned above its biggest setback was due to limited options to choose from. Excursion and Activity center: We booked the private boat for my family for island hopping. The price was reasonable and it gives us freedom since we are traveling with young children. The amenities for the tour like lunch, snacks, drinks, safety vest, towel, first aid box and etc were prepared well and excellent. The boat is a true luxury and I strongly encourage everyone to experience them for an island tour from the hotel. A speical thanks to Ms Fah Rungrudee. She suggested a good package to accommodate my family's needs. Delivered exceptional customer service, professionalism, attention to detail, and going the extra mile in fulfilling the Guest's needs. She ensure our safety and experience were never compromised. Since she deliver the service from the heart, my young son got so close with her. she created a special bond with my two young kids. A big thank you to Mr. Nit the boat captain and Mr. Mud the crew. Both of them showed their skill and professionalism during our island tour and ensure our comfort and safety were taken care of. Good to see Mr. Khum AL back once again in the hotel. To my surprise, he still remembers me from my last visit. His smile and kind gesture were excellent as usual. SPA: The hotel spa was in a good price range. The atmosphere was excellent. The variety of spa treatments available was extensive. My Special thanks to Ms. Wan & Ms. Saw. Both delivered excellent customer service, skill, and professionalism. My family and I truly enjoyed our spa treatment. Kids Club: There is so much activity the kids club created for young children. The atmosphere was excellent and there is a free activity and paid once you may send your kids. A humble thank you to Ms.Sandy for her excellent customer service and for ensuring she gives equal attention to my kids and other kids in the activity. When it comes to kids' activities in the kids club, it's very important the staff show equal attention to all kids and not just showing to one particular kid or family. It can be very sensitive and parents may take it very personally when their kids are not given equal attention. Ms. Sandy ensure all kids enjoyed the activities including mine. She was patient and understanding as my second son was crying at one point in time. Conclusion: My family and I truly enjoyed our first overseas vacation at Sofitel Krabi after 2 years unable to travel overseas. There are small minor things the hotel needs to look into like the menu range, different cuisines type, and chauffer availability. The people in the hotel are your biggest asset and they are the true customer service superstar who turns moments into memories. My best wishes to the hotel management and staff. Thank you.

Accessible by boat only, the resort offers an abundance of opportunities to relax and explore: a spa, Thai, Japanese, and International restaurants, water sports (kayaking, sailing, paddle boarding), 2 swimming pools, 2 kids clubs. The experts at the resort’s PADI dive centre provide everything that is needed for beginners, those with medium skills, and expert divers. Krabi International Airport is 40 minutes away from Nopparatthara pier which is approximately 15 minutes from the resort by boat.
Fantastic Resort with terrible access !!
Reviewed By ruteshjWe were a family of 7 and stayed for 4 nights in 2 x Beach front 2 bedroom villas with a private pool. I would say this is the best property in Krabi but with a terrible access from mainland (more on this later & this is why only 3 vs 5 stars). The Villas were huge, very well furnished & maintained, fantastic views and properly taken care of by housekeeping on daily basis. The resort is beautiful with its landscaped gardens, multiple pools, a very clean private beach, beachfront dining etc. Everything is picturesque !! Some of the rooms up the hill can be quite a walk but they have buggies. I think we made the right decision to pay for beachfront villas to be on the beach. May is not peak season and Thailand is just seeing more tourists coming in. So only 1 restaurant was open with limited options, but food was quite good. The Japanese restaurant was open on Saturday and we loved the Teppanyaki, excellent chef !! If this resort was connected to Krabi by a road, I would have given 5 stars !! but the only way in is via boat or the monkey trail !!! The hotel speedboat service needs to be improved to accommodate guests, do additional runs. They seem to have 2 boats but use only 1 with hourly / 2 hr interval service to Ao Nang (nopartthara pier). Could see many angry guests who could not get a spot on the boat. Reserve well in advance but that takes away the fun of deciding something spontaneously. Or take a 1000 THB long tail each way. Also only the brave hearted would venture out in the sea after darkness. So no dinner options to go to , unless you use the monkey trail !! The jetty is made of rubber / plastic floats connected together and many of the handrails are missing. There were huge waves and the jetty bounces around dangerously. It was right in front of our villa and every time the boat came there were screams heard from terrified people !!! The hotel is waiting for an accident to happen !! They don't even bother to repair the broken center handrails !! On our way back the weather was bad and boat service was cancelled. The hotel bell boy escorted us through the monkey trail to Ao Nang, He was very courteous but the monkey trail is quite steep with few very bad steps. Its surely unsafe for the elderly, small kids and you need the right clothing (trekking). Quite strenuous option to do to & fro from Ao Nang !! If you are game for a jetty which is like a walking roller coaster without handrails or fit enough to do the monkey trail every time you want to go to Ao Nang or just want to stay a few days disconnected from the world, then this is the perfect resort. Otherwise avoid.... Would only visit again or recommend if I can see a proper concrete / wooden firm jetty installed by the hotel. I am sure they miss many repeat customers (surely us) just because of the access. Its a shame that such a beautiful resort has such terrible access....

Reviewed By MariafrcarvalhoWe chose Phulay Bay for our longest stay in Thailand. The place is incredibly beautiful and very well maintained. The staff is very kind and helpful :). We are very happy with our personal host, Peck ? a lovely person that made our honeymoon special, preparing several surprises and helping us with all the trips and activities. The hotel has a good location, having Hong island as a short distance boat trip and being easily accessed by car. The paintings and architecture of the entire resort are beautiful, with special emphasis for the high contrast colors that can result in super instagrammable pictures ?. We stayed at the pool villa and it's an amazing and comfortable place. I can see room for improvement on the international cuisine restaurant, where sometimes the food is a bit flavorless. Overall, we are very happy with our honeymoon at Phulay Bay ❤️ we will definitely look back with a big smile and incredible memories.

The breakfast was fantastic and had lots of varieties. We enjoyed the breakfast with see view... its was really very amazing. Front Office and Restaurant staff was courteous. A very special thanks to Abhishek Revis, he has made our tour very comfortable. More power to him, as he was handling the resort very well...

Reviewed By 879kristinarWhen we arrive just feels like Maldives Bech incredible sand white and soft Romms it's OK, sunset bar it's amazing views OMG Breakfast can be much better but it's ok Staff can be more organised and understands English becouse if not locals we can miss our Ferry from pier we have to go and get quickly boat, they tell us what they have already booked for us which time I'll sed but when we come they said boat fully booked. its OK that we can go to locals and they transfers us and it's cheaper But I recommend this hotel definitely to see most beautiful beaches in the Phi Phi
