Really bad food
Reviewed By 154anakWe stayed one night and ate dinner here. The dinner was really bad and small. I do not recommend anyone to eat here. We had soup that was just flour, salad with cheese that had four really small pieces of cheese on it, very different from waht you het elsewhere in the country. Meat with potates my husband ordered was an eight of chicken breast and potatoes. Ofcourse bot enough. I wanted baked beans, but they ran out. We also ordere two spinach pies that were all dough, almost no sign of spinach. And the dough was bought, so left it. The only tastef thing was my little stuffed pepper that came on the table after we ate everything. We again ordered another salad just to be full. The lady serving was really kind, but that does not help if the food was awfull. Such a disappointment from what we got in Thethi: a real homemade meal, we were not able to finish with great variety of dishes, lots of cheese and vegetables and lamb. I do not recommed to eat here.

Reviewed By mrc282the guesthouse is located about 5-7 min drive from the center of Valbona village. it is at a very scenic spot with mountains as the backdrop the room rate includes breakfast, which is a huge spread. you can also have lunch for 8 euros or dinner for 10 euros . again there are a lot of food provided so you wont go hungry. the room is spacious, and bathroom is ensuite. it is also very clean. no outside shoes are permitted inside the building but house slippers are provided.

Breathtaking Vistas and True Hospitality!
Reviewed By benrR3336HTAbsolutely amazing location above (way above) Bajram Curri with a breathtaking view and accessible to Valbona Valley. The hotel is owned and run by a family, and they are absolutely wonderful hosts! Geri, the son, is so attentive and always going the extra mile to make you feel at home. I ate all my dinners there, and the mother is an amazing cook. The best I've eaten in my time in Albania, and I've been here nearly two years. The beds were super comfortable as well, which is often where places fail. Getting there is a bit of an adventure, but it's worth it! I really felt relaxed and refreshed at the end of my stay.

A family house, with beutiful views .. and so much kindness from the owners !
Reviewed By Oliv66We arrived there after a walk from Teth (part of the Peak of the Balkans trail). The house is a bit after Valbona from Teth (or a bit before if you come from Bajram Curri/Fierze/Koman). Valbona has not real "center" instead of Teth, but this part of the small village was really interesting to stay for us because it is a authentic family housey with a beautiful view on the mountains. The rooms were good and clean, and we had a very good meal served by the family here. Local trout, vegetables for a very fair price. Just keep in mind this not an hotel but just a family guest house. The whole family were welcoming and the two girls who speak good english were very helpful. They were so kind ! We made a reservation for a driver at 4.15 am to take the boat to Koman. everithing was ok the day before, but the father and his girl wake up too to wait for the driver with us, to be sure we won't miss our boat. Of course I recommand this house to everyone who love nature, simplicity and ... a wonderful albanian hospitality !

New clean, but not the best place for solo hikers
Reviewed By murmifirstThe guesthouse is new and clean, in a very nice setting. The staff is efficient and helpful. I would not recommend this place to solo backpackers and hikers. The dorms are rather family rooms without lockers and without private bed lamps and plugs to charge the mobile close to one’s bed, or anything else to somehow protect one’s privacy such as bed curtains. There are some – rather unwelcoming – communal spaces, but no communal eating facilities (just a conventional restaurant nearby). The staff is efficient and helpful, but if you are a well-trained hiker you may be disappointed about how little information they are ready to provide on the conditions of the trails. It is also annoying that you will be charged with supplements for almost everything you ask (even very rudimental flyers, or the ‘lunch package’, which actually consists in packing some bread and vegetables from the breakfast buffet).
