Salt Spring Island Cheese Company

Salt Spring Island Cheese Company makes both sheep and goat milk cheeses. Come visit us on the farm where we are located, and sample all of our cheeses. There are windows into every room of our facility, so you can also see the entire cheesemaking process from start to finish.

This was one of the stops on our Salt Spring Island Tour and we really enjoyed it. The tasting itself was yummy with some great recommendation from the staff. You can wander around and visit the goats, view the making and packaging process. There are cheese and other items available for sale from the tasting room. An unexpected surprise was a really good quality lunch with a selection of sandwiches, pizza and soup. They conveniently provide you a buzzer once you place your order so you can continue to explore until lunch is ready.

Tranquility Studios

An INTERACTIVE model railway show where YOU get to operate the trains. It's great fun for the whole family with both indoor and outdoor layouts. Allow around 30-40 mins for the full show. There are also pets to meet and feed.

Tranquility Studios is more worthwhile than one might imagine. So much more than a model train! Phillip provides an amazing Salt Spring experience, with a robust knowledge of trains and fantastic British Jokes. Just when you think the tour couldn't get any better, he takes you to cuddle the loveliest guinea pigs and feed the ducks and hens. I would absolutely recommend this experience for anyone visiting the island.

It's a visual and sensory dream. Farm is so beautiful, the scent intoxicating. Many types of lavender grown. Bees buzzing and lots of butterflies.
