Mt. Stanserhorn can be accessed via the CabriO open-top cable car. This is our highlight near Lucerne. The peak is vast to explore and we see clouds beneath us all around the mountain. The views are breathtaking as we walk up. There is also a popular restaurant with many local patrons. We wished we had stayed longer to enjoy a meal before visiting Mt. Titlis, which we feel though good, pales in contrast to Stanserhorn in terms of experience. Mountains with similar views include Fronalpstock, Mt. Rigi and Mt. Pilatus, but among all Mt. Stanserhorn is our absolute favorite.
