A Place to Have a Party
Reviewed By Julijana DOur second visit was an extra event. Celebrating a birthday with a group of people that are dear to you - this is the right spot. The staff was excellently prepared and the whole event supervised by Adrienn. The accommodation was superb, well taken care of and cozy at the same time. The chef did his best with preparing a special menu for the whole time we were there - a gourmet dinner, the midnight gulaž, little treats in between and the beverage package had excellent wine to complement the food. Beer lovers were also able to get beer on the tap and the guests who preferred soft drinks had a wide range of choice. Reka - the head of the restaurant kept an eye open till the early hours so that noone was left without a drink or piece of cake.

Palos Resort is a family operated Bed & Breakfast, in beautiful natural surrounding, facing a forest, far away from the noise of cities. We invite you to join us in a simple, convenient and magnificent natural environment. In 2018 Palos Resort won the Best Ethno Hotel Award at the International Hospitality Awards amongst the 28 best European hotels. In our surroundings there are thermal baths in almost every village, and Europe's biggest mainland natural thermal lake, Heviz is 10 minutes by car. All guests are welcome who is after relaxation,peace and quitness. The Castle Hotel has got 28 different rooms, restaurants, an indoor thermal pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and on the top of that, spa services are provided such as various massage therapies. In the elegant restaurant, our homemade dishes evoke the warmth of an aristocratic residence, while the 300 year old ancient park attracts you for an afternoon walk. Our outdoor pool offers its refreshing water on hot summer days, with drinks served next to it. Let us spoil you,in a real Castle!

Reviewed By HSzasziThe castle itself is amazing from the style of furniture and decoration, to cleanliness and tidiness. We have only tried the wellness section within the castle which in peak time seemed to be too small. We have attended 4 sauna seances that were every time different (salt,honey&palinka,fruits,cold water) which gave us a unique experience. We have also tried a one hour aroma bath for couples with a bottle of champagne, which with candles lit and a small bed in the room was very romantic but a bit overpriced. All in all we give a rating 4 because the food wasn't too good. Having the same breakfast choice was not a big deal in itself,but the choices for dinner weren't tasty at all,rather below average I would say. Deserts were either too bad or tasted only sugar. You are charged for service every time and even water is not included in dinner.

Dutch Hill is situated in the heart of the beautiful and quiet Zala countryside. You will find us only 15 km from Balaton Lake, in the midst of expansive forests and vast fields. If you are looking for luxurious hotels, crowded discos and a busy itinerary, we suggest you look somewhere else. With us you will find peace, relaxation and tranquillity of nature. While still being able to indulge in tasty meals accompanied by delicious organic wines which we produce ourselves from fruits grown in our vineyard. Our camping ground is situated on a hill and has breathtaking views of the green valley below. With easy access from the main road, you will be able to choose the perfect spot to pitch your tent, with choice of forest or open grass area. We also offer you the opportunity to stay overnight in one of our two Log Cabins, an original Yurt or a Caravan. Don't forget to visit our small shop where you are able to buy souvenirs and organic products from our vegie garden and orchard. You can enjoy our organic wine, made from fruits in our orchard in our Pub "De Kroeg" or why not try a glass of cold Hungarian beer or our home-made pálinka, liquors or syrups. Relax and enjoy the Hungarian lifestyle while listening to some music playing in the back ground. Centrally located in our camping park you will find our vineyard, orchard and vegetable garden. Come and join us while we prepare simple, wholesome, tasty meals made from fresh produce grown in our own vegie garden, cooked in a Dutch camp oven on hot coals or in a cooking pot hanging above a camp fire. (Only some nights, pending interest)
Lovely small campsite
Reviewed By Peter RWe spent 2 nights in the campsite, where we could feel some dutch ambience as we were the only hungarians there at that moment. Carla the owner was realy kind, she prepared a campfire where we could make some marshmallows, the little pub is fun decorated and our children loved the rabbit and the barnyard where they collected the fresh eggs and even as a gift Carla gave it to us, so we prepared the freshest scrambled egg ever.
