Horrific Hospitality!!!
Reviewed By Suzyanne37We were a party of 7 staying for the weekend to attend a family friend’s wedding. Our weekend was wonderful apart from our hotel experience which rained disaster from the moment we arrived!! The hotel itself is not to my taste but you could admire the ‘quirkiness’ of it, being a small town place and we had already been warned it was rather unique. However the gentlemen manager had no business running a hotel and lacked any iota of customer service skills. - On arrival we found that our keys had been given to someone. We were very worried that some stranger would be wandering into our rooms in the middle of the night and tried to explain this concern to him. When we tried to find out who these people were he started to get irritated at US and spitting at us “The reception closes at 8!” It turned out another party for the wedding had friends arriving later and they had tried to pick up there keys as they knew reception would be closed when they arrived. He threw ALL the keys at them, despite them trying to explain they did not know us and only wanted one key, and he walked off. - Later that evening more wedding guests arrived, trying to get into the hotel. They (like us) had been sent NO details beforehand to say that the reception would be closed nor had they been given instructions on what to do should you arrive after this time. Someone managed to call the hotel on their behalf and thankfully were told someone was on their way down to give them a key. Unfortunately this poor couple were greeted with the rudest man I have encountered in my life. He was screaming at them, stamping his feet and flapping his arms, displaying highly aggressive and threatening behaviour. I had tried to help them get in myself, to help them, but in return he screamed at me to get out of his hotel ‘while he dealt them these people’. He continued to scream at them so loudly I could hear him all the way back to the restaurant next door. We were all in complete shock. - The next day we attended our wedding and in between the service and reception came back to freshen up. The party who had our keys previously informed us that the same man had screamed at them about the state of their room THEN tried to drag them into our room to show them that as well. Im sorry but being a woman I know we can make a bit of a mess when trying to get ready for a special occasion but this was beyond a joke. Make up bags and brushes being left on a table did not warrant the abuse these girls received and frankly I was left to feel uncomfortable staying in this hotel and very distressed. On entering the room we had been left a letter being asked to come to reception so he could yell at us personally! - We tried to book a taxi to the wedding reception for 14 people but when it arrived it had only been booked for 9. The man sat there smiling and laughing as if this had been done on purpose. Frankly this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had – cringe worthy!!! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice family hotel
Reviewed By OzoneHostileA very nice family hotel in this small but fantastic village Close to Kassel. Very friendly and helpful owner. Nice breakfast! Went to Schinkeln brauhus in the evening for a few local homebrewed beers and a very nice wienerschnitzel Room was clean and beds nice.

Reviewed By geni gImpeccable hospitality- Marion and her family open their hearts to your stay. The meals are homemade served hot and delicious! The entire hotel is clean and well maintained. It’s in a great location to many great places/sites. Central location saves time and money when it comes to getting around Germany. I highly recommend the Hotel Zur Warte you will not be dissatisfied!

Reviewed By ulivstIch war schon in vielen Hotels, auch leider in nicht in so guten, aber das war die Krönung REZEPTIONSZEITEN Mo. - Fr. von 08:00 bis 16:30 Uhr Kreditkartenzahlung *nicht möglich*, obwohl im Internet so angepriesen: AKZEPTIERTE KARTENZAHLUNGEN AmericanExpress MasterCard Visa Und nun der Gipfel: In jedem Zimmer in jedem Schrank eine Liste mit Preisen für verschmutztes Kopfkissen verschmutzen Bettbezug verschmutztes Bettlaken benutze Dusche beschädigte Vorhänge- usw, usw Fazit: wenn Ihr in dieser Gegend eine Unterkunft sucht nehmt nicht dieses Hotel!
