Nice camping

We booked a cabin, 4 beds and small kitchen with water, perfect! Really Nice place, friendly staff and Nice swimplace. Only thing missing was a place to sit down with other campers to socialize a bit, but that was all. Recomended!

Overall it was a poor experience at this hotel and I would not recommend anyone waste their time or money. I thought some of the other reviews were a bit dramatic but after our stay I can see their point of view. We decided to book at this hotel because we had spent a week driving around Vildmarksvägen and thought it would be a nice stay to end with a few drinks and a good meal. I have to mention some positives, the rooms were clean beds were comfortable, bathrooms are a bit dated but functional (apart from the fact that the light switch is located in the shower) and the view over the lake was nice. When we eventually got the keys to the room we realised that there was no bar fridge as advertised and no basic toiletries apart from hand soap. I also noticed some of the room temperature mini bar items were a few months past their due date and the roll of chocolate looked like someone had opened the roll, taken one piece and then shut the packet again. We arrived early (2 hours before check-in) so didn't expect to be able to get our room earlier but thought we would ask. No one was in the reception so we rung the bell twice, waited for 15 minutes, and no one showed. We decided to go grab a drink at the bar, had to ring the bell for that as well. After being served we had our drinks and after about 30mins went back down to the reception. No one there again, so we rung the bell again, no answer. After a few more minutes another couple came in and then somone came after they rung the bell and it was the same guy who served us in the bar on the floor above. No wonder he couldn't hear the reception bell. After being told we couldn't check in because the room wasn't ready we decided to wait in the lounge for just over an hour before we could check in. Other people joined waiting to check in. A couple then arrived at 14:50 asked to check in and were told the rooms still weren't ready... Then conveniently all of the rooms suddenly were ready at 15:00. A few days before our arrival we contacted the hotel to see if we needed to book a table at the restaurant. The hotel confirmed we could book a table and also pre-book our meals if we liked, so we went ahead and did that. We arrived a couple of minutes before our booking. We waited about 5 minutes before the couples in front of us were greeted. One couple had booked and were shown to their table. The other couple hadn't booked and got told to go sit down anywhere. After waiting another 10mins we were then greeted by one of the staff, who informed us that the restaurant was full and there was a miscommunication. They could not help us or the 2 couples behind us who had also booked, so we all went to the pizza place down the road instead with better customer service and not overpriced.

Where is the soap?

Reviewed By felpou

We payed 1300 kr (around 130 euro) for a room without soap to wash our hands with. In a pandemic. We had to go down to the reception and ask if the cleaning personnel forgot it, but no, the girl behind the reception told us soap was not included. ?We asked for soap since we obviously wanted to wash our hands and another guy in the reception went to look for some but didn’t find any. Instead we got two more small bottles of cheap shower gel. I felt really uncomfortable living at a hotel were I knew NO ONE had hand soap to wash their hands with in their hotel rooms! At the breakfast buffet, all I could think about was the risk of COVID spreading. We left directly after breakfast and I’m not coming back. The personnel was very young and from what I could see, they worked long hours. It’s not their fault, it’s the owners responsibility to follow the restrictions and make sure both the personnel and their customers are safe, especially in a pandemic. I guess the owner thought about the money in first hand. Don’t come here, instead go to Saxnasgarden. We were there before coming to klimpfjall hotel and it’s a very nice place.

Excellent small hotel

Reviewed By Stig F

I did a stopover on my way heading further north. After a long drive it was a very nice feeling arriving to this small hotel. A very welcoming feeling that was felt as soon as entering the hotel. The breakfast was very good and it as a very relaxed feeling in the breakfast room.
