I use the rugeley Travelodge for mountain biking trips to Cannock chase. The hotel is perfectly situated 2 minutes from the heritage trail whish is then a 10 minute ride to birches valley visitor centre. The staff are friendly and welcoming and only to happy to assist when needed.

Unwelcoming

Reviewed By NatalieLyons66

As me and my partner were walking up the canal we thought we would stop off here to have some cake. As we entered we were not greeted or acknowledged and my partner had to ask a waiter who was sat on a table with her back to us (she knew we were there and the place was empty and she could hear us talking) if they were still open. She carried on what she was doing for a moment and then told us she would get somebody to serve us. The cakes were very expensive for what they were and weren’t the greatest. As the waiter went to cut the slices up for us in the kitchen the owner was stood in the entrance watching us to see if we were going to steal something from the shelf. When we left we didn’t get a ‘goodbye, thanks for coming’ or ‘see you soon’. We won’t bother to return.

Visited Marsh Farm for the jubilee afternoon tea. We enjoyed it in the lovely gardens. The cakes were jubilee themed which was a lovely touch making it extra special. Staff were lovely, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They even boxed up the cakes we couldn't manage to squeeze in! Would definitely recommend and return.

Home away from home!

This makes my third visit to this wonderful B & B. I have friends in the village and the location, next to the Crown Pub and across from the Goats Head, mean it's easy to find each other. The rooms are very comfortable, it's like going home to mum's. I have yet to have breakfast but the smells emanating from the kitchen are enough to get you salivating. Sue is an awesome host. Can't wait for next year, maybe I'll have breakfast!

Bloodstock accommodation

Reviewed By leecI6170CP

The cottage is lovely, very clean and quiet. We stayed there for the bloodstock festival and was very impressed (and we got to shower so bonus) the guys from the pub down the road are lovely and they have some great cider there too. Really wish I got some to take home actually. But all in all I cannot fault the place!
