The lodge is centered around an authentic local bar and restaurant with great food and desserts: this is why you want to stay here, to interact with the locals and eat well. Our room was small and clean. However, the bed was too small. We are both 6ft. tall and the bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom shower door was broken and needed repairs. Also, there was no shelving to hold your soap etc. in the shower itself. Directly outside our room was a roof-top sitting area with a table and chairs. Loud people outside could potentially disturb your rest or sleep. Also, they play live rock/pop music half of the week until late at night and it can be heard throughout the hotel. So early sleepers beware.

Delightful stay with Ingrid and Bill in the gorgeous county of Donegal

Our whole family felt extremely welcome on this beautiful B&B in the hills of Donegal County. The place is beautifully decorated with a very tasteful nautical theme. Our hosts were very welcoming, helpful and warm. Breakfast was delicious and all the produce very fresh and tasty.

Pleasant stay

Stayed here for one night in early September. Pleasant stay. Nice, understated room/s. Restaurant is pretty good (dinner, breakfast...we had hoped to dine at the famous Rusty Mackerel down the road, but was closed). Very cheerful, friendly waitresses. (Some of the rooms are over the kitchen, though; that means pleasant fish smells in evening...less so in the morn!) A nice little town.

An Sean Ostan Accommodation

Simple but comfortable

Reviewed By nkalams

Stayed here for a night ahead of visiting Slieve League, which is only 15 minutes away by car. A basic accommodation but the room was clean, my shower was hot, and the hotel was quiet. Connected to a takeaway/takeout restaurant which hit the spot after a long day of travel. Quite affordable all around!

Irish hospitality at it's finest

Reviewed By AJNT

You know how when you finally get home and you look back at your journey, well this is one of those memories that stand out. First of all the location was great, Carrick is a small village with two fine pubs and very close to the best spots in this area. Lios Na Siog "the fairy fort" is a recently built stone home with multiple guest rooms. The beds are comfortable and the showers great. Paddy who owns the B&B exemplifies Irish hospitality with warmth and generosity, making sure there is nothing wanting for your stay and your day ahead. Breakfast is is complete with all you could wish, served in a cozy dining room where guests mingle and share stories. Many places we stayed in were wonderful but Paddy makes this place stand out.
