Known as the safari capital of Africa, Nairobi is an energetic, modern city that serves as a fascinating introduction to both wildlife and nightlife. Music clubs pulse with life, shops and markets bustle, and a mélange of restaurants will tempt your palate in this former Maasai watering hole. Top sights include the Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre and the black rhinos of Nairobi National Park. The compact city center is safe to walk in and taxis make other areas accessible.

Good Option specially if you are headed to Masai Mara

Reviewed By AwanOmer

This B&B is a good option if you are planning to stay overnight before continuing onward to Masai Mara as it is close to exit of the city. It is located very close to the Giraffe center if you are interested in visiting. They are linked to a program empowering local Kenyan women which is a noble cause and worth supporting. The staff was very helpful and if you notify in advance they can prepare wonderful meal for you as well.

Expensive, unclean, bad treatment

Reviewed By Ahmed K

I just want you all to know how bad was my experience with this place is ... They sold me a room with 35$ single per night , room is ugly from inside, totally empty only a bed in it, very dusty and dirty that i couldn't even use the toilet... by 6 o'clock AM the place started to be very noisy... the room up to me at any time they moove i could clearly hear their steps and when they use the shower the toilet in my room started to rain from everywhere and made the toilet totaly wet like it was me who took a shower ... let us not forget about bugs and mosquitoes... when i found out all of this i decided to quit and to go for another hotel... i paid 50$ deposit and i was planning to stay for a week then i asked for the rest of my money, the answer was in exact words from the reception girl ''we only take money we don't give money'' so i asked for the manager '' MAMA'' the girl in the reception said she is not available insisting to see someone came to me I think her daughter she told me you had to ask to leave at 10 am, i said i asked the girl at the reception that i will go at 9 Am she didn't mention that so when she made sure of that, she told me that i signed on the RC that i will stay a week and she will not give back any money... This is my experience their in few words expensive for nothing , dirty and unbelievable bad service... I am in Nairobi for almost one and half year between hotels there is a much better hotels and residences with much less prices and much better rooms and services than this one...

A So-So 'Airport' Hotel that is about 45 minutes from the airport....

Reviewed By James S

The dinner made by Sylvester (grilled tilapia with veggies and rice for 600ks) was exceptionally tasty and good value. (My $50/night cost did NOT include breakfast.) My driver to the airport was 15 minutes late collecting me, even though we had confirmed, face to face, the precise pickup time (05:30) the evening before. Then another 30 minutes reaching the airport. Allow at least an hour to reach the Nairobi Airport, even though this 'Airport Resthouse' looks nearby on the map. Credit card machine did not work for payment, so I had to pay in cash and then wait more than eight hours to get my change back. The WiFi was just so-so, good some times, not so at others. The hotel itself was quiet, but there were nearby barking dogs through much of the night; you are advised to bring ear plugs here to get a good night's sleep.
