Little Orme

Reviewed By malgibbs1 - Bath, United Kingdom

Lovely walk around and up Little Orme Head. It is a strenuous walk with some steep inclines if walking from Llandudno side (main road opposite Premier Inn) to Angel Bay and then back via the summit(s) up onto the top. Well worth it for lovely views of seals in Angel Bay, not yet on the beach in early September, and all the panoramic views from the cliffs and summits. Quite busy in lovely weather with much easier access from Rhos side. Unfortunately selfish and thoughtless person using drone caused unnecessary noise and disturbance, let’s hope the wretched things are banned from peaceful and sensitive wildlife areas.

Fairy Glen

This deep gorge is surrounded by a seemingly endless expanse of scenic beauty.

Visited here many times and recently a week ago. We had a very pleasant 20min conversation with the owners. They have an honesty box and at £1 per person, 50p for children £1 for a car is excellent value to see a beautiful scenic place. There is a small car park but have never had a problem on the many occasions we've visited. Circular walk which takes you along part of the river, with a divert down some uneven steep steps to the Gorge but so worth it. There were adults with young children so depends on how confident you are taking them down there. Plenty of rocks to clamber over! Very tranquil and lives up to its name 'fairy glen'. Lovely picnic site by the river. Owners have always been chatty and also run a b&b. 5 mins drive to Betws-y-Coed. We always call at the Glen on the way to Llandudno via the A5. Well worth a visit for the price.
