Pass as a Hotel But Fail as a Resort
Reviewed By Jim WThe low cost and a fore knowledge of the rough edges made this stay passable. There is one new building and it is worth the extra money to stay in one of those 8 rooms. But the rest of the place feels a little long in the tooth. Our 4 nights were in a very nice room with knotty pine walls and ceiling. The tile floors throughout made for a very clean feel. Unfortunately they use floral scented cleaning and laundry products so it was rough on my wife. They have the European key card slot to turn on the power so no charging anything while you are out. The AC was great and thankfully not on the keycard system so you can come back to a cool room. The noise from the room above you leaves you at the mercy of your neighbors. There is no sound proofing between. Thankfully the folks above us only stayed up about a half hour later than us so we only missed that much sleep. The pool is nice and great for kids. The lounge chairs look nice, but the short back makes them unusable in a sitting configuration. There is no support for your head if you are taller than 5 feet. The tiles around the pool need to be replaced so go bare footed only with great caution. The restaurant is nice. The menu is diverse and they reportedly excel in seafood. We enjoyed their T bone, pizza and antipastos. The service was great and Paulo and Lola were quite attentive. Paulo served our breakfast as well and learned our preferences quickly. Breakfast was quite forgettable except that it was the same every day. When the highlight is the plumb jamb and butter... well, you get the picture. In their defense, Albanians are not big breakfast eaters and I got the impression that it is not geared for anyone else. The internet was OK when it was working, but that was less than you would like. One of the morning I had to get out to a meeting at 7 and discovered that I was locked in. The gate was locked. Apparently they lock you in each night. I went looking for anyone. No luck. I tried calling the resort only to be told that they spoke no English and then they hung up. Apparently I had awakened them at 7. I tried again and emphasized gate and locked. This time apparently did the trick because after a while, a gentleman graciously appeared and let me out. I’m not sure what they do in the case of an emergency.

Reviewed By Elvira FStayed at hotel Jurgen for 3 nights. A nice family hotel with a friendly atmosphere. They were very very helpful and nice, suggesting places to visit and restaurants to eat at. We hade tried to book the restaurant Mrizi i Zanave before coming here but without success, so they helped us both with a booking and transportation. They even showed us around the downtown when we arrived. The beach was too far to walk to but easily accessible with frequent vans passing the hotel which cost about 50 cent/person. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Reviewed By robsahe1975El hotel se encuentra junto a la carretera (en una estación de servicio) así que el acceso y llegada hasta el se hace sin dificultad. Las instalaciones se nota que son muy actuales y cuidadas, tanto del edifico como de la habitación. Esta era amplia y cómoda para una estancia corta/media. La cama muy cómoda. El baño estaba muy bien y limpio, lo único que yo recomendaría es colocar una mampara o en su defecto una cortina de baño. Si necesitas comprar algo o tomar algo tienes en el mismo edificio la tienda/cafetería de la estación de servicio. El desayuno correcto. Aparcamiento en la misma puerta o alrededores sin problema.

Reviewed By Werner MIt is a very nice hotel. The staff was very, very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are big and very clean. The hotel has a nice restaurant, where you can have a drink on the terrace. Only a few meters to the center, with pubs and restaurants. I can highly recommend this hotel!
