5 Yoga & Pilates in Red Sea and Sinai That You Shouldn't Miss

July 28, 2021 Harland Bartelt

Traditional attitudes prevail in the historic Sinai region on Egypt's border with Israel. The triangular peninsula is divided from the rest of Egypt by the Suez Canal and the Red Sea. Craggy mountains, including 7500-foot Mount Sinai, plunge down to the waters of the Red Sea. Spectacular snorkeling and diving sites beckon from the Gulf of Aqaba to the east of the peninsula, particularly along the dramatic coastline of Na'ama Bay in Sharm el Sheikh. Camelback safaris offer distinctive desert excursions.

Omkara Yoga School

Tribal Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga Classes and Courses, Sound Massage, Meditation and more. The omkara yoga school in Sharm el Sheikh arises out of the sensation to face life with an open heart and a smile while noticing the importance of every moment. We like to offer the possibility to find time for yourself, time to practice Yoga and to live Yoga, to meditate, to relax, fuel up with energy and to connect to the inner self. Your teachers are committed to the path themselves and are here to assist your own blossoming. We will give you the tools and techniques firstly for yourself and then support you while you and your classmates practice, sweat, cry, giggle and soar.We give more importance to quality then quantity. We focus on the wellbeing of everyone and that begins at the entrance of the Yoga School.Warm colors, exotic incense, the swoosh of the sea and warm candle light invite you to relax and eagerness. Everybody should feel welcome and in good hands.A oasis of wellbeing between desert and sea.

We had e-mail contact where Gaby answered all our questions we arranged a private desert yoga session. We met Gaby at an agreed spot and then drove out beyond Sharms “ring of steel”. The trip went through the outskirts of Sharm where many locals live. This is far away from the luxurious hotels in Sharm. Meanwhile Gaby is an excellent guide that know the area well. A bit out in the desert you get out of the car and start to walk into the desert. We passed Bedouin camps and eventually got to the spot where we did our yoga. Very nice and peaceful. At the way back we walked in silence and felt the nature and mind. We recommend this a lot.

We arrived in Hurghada late evening and visited the spa on our first day - it was sooo lovely to be pampered together as a couple - the staff were wonderful and the experience was very good value for money - we only wish we had time to get the Hammam treatment and full body massage again before leaving but our time was short - definitely recommend
