The family-run guest house Altes Casino offers comfortable rooms with a wonderful panoramic view over the Fulda river and the Rhön Mountains. The excellent meals served in its restaurant make it a very special place.
Good stopover
Reviewed By Mikkel KUsed the hotel as stopover on the way back to Denmark after holiday in Italy. We had a room for four (2 kids, 2 adults..) - a bit cramped with extra bedding, but manageable for one night. No A/C, but open windows helped a bit. Breakfast was surprisingly good for a small gasthof. Organic/Bio products - really good bread, jams, cheeses, meat and they even offered scrambled eggs if you wanted this. Helpfull and attentative staff. Will certainly use this place another time for a stopover.. Paid EUR 140 for a night incl breakfast for 4.

excellent stay in affordable hotel
Reviewed By Dominic MWe recently spent a night there to attend an Irish Whiskey Dinner. Wow.. what wonderful food. All organic and just delicious. Warm, friendly staff. Compact and clean rooms at the guest house. Just delightful. We arrived and departed by train so a short cab ride from Fulda station. Just a gem of a place.

Great place for a visit!
Reviewed By PSimmsThis is a great hotel in the middle of nowhere. We stayed here one night while driving from Hamburg Germany down south to Munich Germany. It was wonderful! The rooms are small and not updated but very clean. Comfortable beds. Beautiful views! There's also a restaurant with delicious food. The prices were also way better than most of Germany. And the servings were massive. They also serve beer of course. There was a breakfast that was included with our stay. The breakfast was very good too! I would definitely recommend staying here. It was very relaxing. The staff was very nice. They did advertise that they had a spa area, but it was out of order when we got there. I don't know when it will be fixed.
