Weekend stay in the Hotel Spessartstuben
Reviewed By Roy LWe booked into the above hotel as we were visiting friends who live locally. We have stayed here before a number of times and always have our favourite room now when we book in :-) The rooms are nicely furnished, all have en-suite and for €90 per night B&B it's excellent value for money! On Friday evening we decided to dine in the hotel restaurant which is very tastefully decorated in traditional Bavarian wood intricately carved. We had a nice table in the corner and both of us had the steak meal on offer washed down with a nice bottle of Red. Afterwards we both had the crepes for a dessert which was a wonderful dish beautifully presented (see Photo) The meal for around €70 was much better quality and value than you can get back home. Saturday morning after breakfast we went for a walk to the town, about 1,5 KL away and worked up an appetite for lunch. However on returning at Lunch time we were really surprised to find the restaurant was closed and not due to open until the evening. This was disappointing as we were really looking forward to lunch after the great meal we had on Friday night. We ended up eating back in the town as a lot of the local "eateries" seem to close on Saturday. Sunday was much better as they were open for Sunday lunch which we enjoyed very much but beware they then close around 5.00pm so no availability for a sunday evening meal. this didn't bother us as we were eating at friends on Sunday evening but if you stay there you have to bear this in mind. All in all a very pleasant stay, staff very helpful and courteous, food was very good (when the restaurant is open) and the rooms spotlessly clean. Goes without saying we would stay here again!

The best yet in Germany

On our arrival our host gave us a lovely welcome , the room was beautiful bright spotless and had luxurious towels and linens. With a chocolate on the pillow (nice touch) we could use the upstairs beautiful terrace and the honesty bar was well stocked and the cheapest in Germany another great touch. Then when we asked where to eat he recommended the best Vietnamese restaurant the DIEM -PHUC again the best Asian food we’ve ever had. Now to the bio breakfast so beautifully presented with the best homemade muesli, great breakfast lots of choice. And upon leaving the hotel there is a basket of fresh fruit to take with you. I can not recommend this lovely place enough. Thankyou you’ve got it so right. 10/10

Kostenlose Parkplätze am Haus, wenige Gehminuten zu den Restaurants. Viele Wander- und Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Gastgeber Roland hat immer Tipps hierfür parat und bietet auch Wanderungen an.

Zeit zum Entschleunigen
Reviewed By TobiKobiWir waren zu zweit für 2 Nächte dort. Die Zimmer sind groß, sauber und einfach gehalten, das Hotel liegt abseits in schöner Natur. Das Frühstücksangebot ist überschaubar, jedoch wird auf jeden Wunsch eingegangen und es wird jeder fündig. Abends hatten wir beide mal die Halbpension (3-Gang-Menü, 12€/Person!) und aßen zweimal hervorragend. Das Personal war stets zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Vom "Fitnessraum" darf man sich nicht zu viel versprechen, das Spieleangebot (Kicker, Billard, Flipper, Brettspiele etc) hingegen ist sensationell. Die kleine Sauna samt Naturteich rundeten einen entschleunigten Kurztrip perfekt ab. Hier bekommt man einiges für sein Geld. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
