Moel Famau

Fantastic 360 views from the top of the highest hill in the Clwydian range. Car park £2 all day and toilets, picnic tables and children’s play area so great day out. Took us 40 mins to get to the Jubilee tower at the top and with circular walk via Offa’s Dyke oath, our visit was 2 hours total. Be warned though this is a popular place especially on sunny days

TSS Duke of Lancaster (The Funship)

Reviewed By desmondsdoll - Manchester, United Kingdom

I've been wanting to see this up close for years after seeing it in the distance as I drove into Prestatyn and also saw it peeping over the hedgerows when we went around the (dire) Funship Market last year. We decided to park up and explore this time and quickly found a footpath running behind Funship Market which was very rocky and rough underfoot so wear sensible shoes and watch where you're walking. We walked up the path which starts off parallel to Funship Market and passed under the lowest functioning rail bridge I've ever seen - my husband is 6'2" and had to really duck to walk under it and I'm only 5'2" and although I would have probably just made it walking at full height, I still felt I needed to duck and trains were hurtling across inches above our heads.........but it's so worth it - as you pass under the bridge, The Duke Of Lancaster is suddenly peeping round the corner at you and no photos can accurately describe how huge, creepy or beautiful it is - we felt watched all of the time and heard a loud clang coming from the ship as we were there - a true Ghost Ship
