My brother and I had a lot of fun on this trip! It was very organized and we were able to see a lot of things in only a few days. I was warned that January would not be the best time to go but it was the only time I was available. Even though some of the lakes hadn't filled up yet, we were still amazed by everything we saw. It did not disappoint!

Maranhão was a destination I always wanted to go, but I was looking for a special way to visit it: the trekking was the answer. I started looking for a tour and I ended up by chance on the website of Costa Leste EcoAventura which had some tours in the area. Lucky I found a 3D/2N trekking leaving on a date that was suitable for me and my friend: we joined a group of other 3 people and it was a smart choice because it allowed us to meet nice people. The tour starts from Berreirinhas and covers the most interesting places in the area: Caburè, Atins, many different lagoons, ending at Santo Amaro (with transfer to Sao Luiz or Barreirinhas for free). The trekking has been a great choice! It allowed us to live the full experience of being at the end of the world, without meeting anyone for 40 km, with an immersive experience through the nature. The trekking is not difficult at all (the only annoying thing are the blisters under the feet caused by walking on the sands), the accommodations are really basic (hammocks in shared sheds), but at the end of the day you are so tired that you really don’t care, and the landscapes and the lagoons are amazing, especially because they are completely empty! The organization was perfect (I had a flight delay which didn’t allow me to start the trekking together with the rest of the group and the Agency has been supportive and proactive in helping me to join the group later), and the guide Clayton has been smart and kind, an added value for the group. Only difficult part: the people at the Agency don’t speak English, so communicating through email was easy, but speaking with them in person (or by phone) was difficult (the only one that speaks English is Clayton). Anyway I strongly recommend the Agency and this tour in particular! Such a great experience.

CharlieTheTraveler offered a great value for the trip to Turkey. There were so many amenities included, such as all of the activities and tours and the wonderful tour guide that was provided to help us navigate it all. Overall, this was a well-organized trip.

I booked their Hike to Telegrafo-rock. In short you get “nothing” for what you pay. You get a “guide” to meet you and they you have to pay for local transport or Uber for you and the guide... you get some limited quiding. Not the guides fault as there is not much to guide about but the company that charge for outrages amount. I do based on my experience not trust this company and advise others not to do so either. Re the Hike to Telegrafo: You can take an Uber and DIY for about 25-50% of the price of one ticket. The hike is very simple and takes 45-60 minutes.
