Reviewed By andrieshahahaWe had a beautiful located room with a stunning view on the jungle. The food was great at any time of the day, a lot of attention to detail and good taste. The room was equipped with a fan, small sink, shower (refreshing) and western toilet. Joni is super friendly and accommodating and Putra, who arranged some day trips, was great as well. They made sure we had an unforgettable experience. I can highly recommend choosing to stay in Tangkahan over Bukit Lewang (very touristy, we did a day trip) if you're on the fence about where to go in the area.

Green Lodge exists to equip the accommodation for traveler who visited Tangkahan.Green Lodge Tangkahan is perfect bungalow for the backpacker who visit Tangkahan! Why? Because we give the rooms a nice, clean and comfortable with the low prices!Location :Green Lodge is located in a small village in Langkat, North Sumatra, which was called Tangkahan. A village is one of eco-tourism in North Sumatra. We are located at the border of jungle with the natural environment. Green Lodge is located in front of the CRO ( Conservation Rescue Unit ) Tangkahan, where elephant camp and washing.

Reviewed By Alex JWe spent two nights at the Green Lodge and feel that we need to add a review, given that the ones were quite misleading. Yes, the location is good, given the hotel is right next to the elephant camp. You can sit in restaurant and see elephants walking by in the morning. On the other hand, it’s the hotel furthest away from the village center (about 15 minutes on foot). Yes, restaurant area is nice and in the evening, there’s a nice atmosphere, with the locals playing guitars. Yes, breakfast (eggs and coffee/tea) included in room price (which was around 11 E), and it was good. Yes, staff , especially young woman, unfortunately can't remember her name, and young man, Peru, very helpful. Beer price reasonable, 40.000 idr, I think. No wifi, but that was ok. However. Dinner mediocre. The young man who runs the place seems not to care – we asked him repeatedly about arranging a return drive to Medan and first he quoted a horrendous price and then, seeing we were not interested suggested a lower price – but then never informed us about departure time, despite repeated phone calls. We ultimately booked a drive through the Tourist Office in the center. The biggest issue: Rooms. We had a room that was part of a duplex, with semi-view of the review. The room is not just basic or rough (no A/C, a small fan that barely works, no warm water, no furniture). That would be ok, given that you’re in the middle of the jungle. The room is dirty. It seems never to have been cleaned or fumigated. It seems never to have been renovated. Mosquito net was dirty. Add to that that wooden floor (which looked as if it had never been swept) and wooden walls also have cracks and cockroaches come in and out. Bathroom without flush toilet or sink, just a large bucket below a faucet that fills with water when you wash hands - and to flush you use a pail. Nowhere to place toilet paper (you will have to ask to be given some) or hang towel (you will have to ask to be given some). One side is partially open, with a broad wire that does not reach top. Different insects came flying in and out. You may say that for that price, one cannot expect luxury. That is true. However, cleanliness is not luxury.

Penginapan Murah Tapi Memadai.
Reviewed By RizaOctaPenginapan ini tarifnya murah tetapi fasilitas nya memadai. Kamar mandi lumayan bagus. Airnya banyak. Halaman sekelilingnya masih asri. Walaupun tak menyediakan sarapan pagi, tapi kita bisa memesan makanan untuk sarapan pagi. Ada beberapa pilihan makanan, diantaranya pancake dengan berbagai rasa. Cukup enak. Penginapan juga menyediakan paket wisata. Pekerja dan pemilik penginapan baik dan ramah. Waktu check out juga diberi kelonggaran.

Lovely place
Reviewed By Peter RJungle paradise. Don't tell everyone! 4x4 jeep taxi to get there and back from Medan. Go see the wildlife. Go tubing and swimming. Great food. Comfortable rooms. Little shop nearby with anything you might need. Just remember to bring lots of paper cash as no ATMs nearby.

Reviewed By thomasrG3835EYAuf unserer Tour durch Nord-Sumatra haben wir im Mega Inn übernachtet. Wer ein Hotel erwartet, wird schwer enttäuscht werden. Schlafplätze mit fließend kaltem Wasser ist eine bessere Bezeichnung. Kein Waschbecken, Klospülung geht mit Handschöpfbecher, Mitbewohner wie Kakalake, Spinne und Geckos sind inbegriffen. Aber mitten im Dschungel, weitab von jedem Massentourismus muss man das in Kauf nehmen, damit dieser Ort auch weiterhin davon verschont bleibt. Da wir das von vornherein wussten, waren wir auch nicht geschockt und mit dem Ganzen auch zufrieden. Denn die Freundlichkeit der Menschen hat es aufgewogen.
